I 'd def make river bigger if I'm raising. And I do think that there is value on the river.

Seems like you may be a bit lost out there. He's 3betting you frequently and you have a monster, why not 4bet? And yes your sizing on the river is what I'd expect from a rec. 1/2 player. Sorry for being blunt.

It's a value bet you dummies. And yeah I can definitely see many reasons to 4bet preflop but I didn't want to bloat the pot hue OOP because I didn't imagine he would fold to my 4bet with whatever he had to 3 bet me with and I felt there's a 60%+ chance I would miss the flop and be looking at a ~$900 pot with ~$2000 behind and have no idea how to proceed when I miss the flop.

4 bet pre, as played Id shove river. He calls it wide, with 6x etc and a min click back screams the nuts. For instance what bluffs can you have with that sizing on the river?While if you shove, it gives the illusion of spew to a guy who is an excellent handreader your line looks like KK or air.
