yeah i admit i shouldnt have circumvented the profanity filter and deserve an infraction for that.

however, is calling someone a regular douchebag allowed? someone who is erroneously accusing me of lying.

Rich, the answer is that it depends on the tenor of the forum and thread you're posting in and the judgement of the mods. In your case, I think many people find your style of posting disagreeable, and as a result, mods are more likely to infract you, and less likely to infract people who insult you. If you don't think this is fair, learn to post differently so people like you more, or stop posting here.

FWIW, EAD used to be censored on 2p2 because it is considered so inappropriate site wide: not only is it a personal attack, but it's homophobic. You should probably be infracted for that post, but since Mr.mmmKay is such a douchebag, I'll allow it.

But no, in most forums except the ones with no standards like the BBVs, calling someone a douchebag would not be allowed.

BBV has standards, that's why they culled this Checkmaker dude.

you got me totally wrong. its everyone else who is the bad guy, trust me.

and EAD didn't seem particularly homophobic to me, but now that I think about, I guess it is. If I add "no ****" after does that make it better? Probably not.

And the bolded part has poor syntax. it should read "FWIW, EAD used to be censored on 2p2 because it is considered inappropriate site wide. Not only is it a personal attack, it's also homophobic."

and FWIW calling someone a "douchebag" is misogynistic.

The words after a colon define or clarify what came before the colon. A dash would be fine instead of the colon, but "Not only is it a personal attack, it's also homophobic" is not a complete sentence.

A complete sentence always contains a verb, expresses a complete idea and makes sense standing alone.
i think it is a complete sentence, however your use of the colon is appropriate and better grammatically.

your use of the word 'but' is incorrect, since my remark being a personal attack and homophobic are not contrasting ideas.
