Why was Ostensibly Thremp banned? and then we discuss linguistics

I always found Thremp a very interesting and entertaining poster.

I am not 100% sure Ostensibly Thremp really was Thremp, but regardless the posts from this account were interesting and entertaining, which is a rarity among posters on this forum.

I saw today the account was banned, but looking through the posting history, I don't see anything even close to worth a banning.

Anyone in the know care to elaborate what happened?

It was Thremp and he was banned because Thremp is banned.

Fair enough. When he came back (if it was really him) his workout log title in H&F was altered, so obviously a H&F mod was involved, which led me to believe his coming back was sanctioned, but I guess it wasn't.

It was, to a certain extent. He went to administration and was told that if he could remain unnoticed (as Thremp LDO), he could create a new account. Apparently he didn't understand that calling himself Thremp again would be noticed.

Sad to hear. I for one was glad he was back and felt he added a lot of values concerning such varied topics as Estonia, making 100k a year, and beer quality of different parts of the world.

Guess it goes to show, that time doesn't necessarily heal all wounds and you sometimes you just can't escape your past.

Thremp's always struck me as pretty damn smart. I would guess he knew exactly what he was doing and what the likely end result would be.

I never really thought of Thremp as a troll. He just has strong opinions and is one of those people who has to get the last word in, no matter the cost.
