I pretty much covered all these bases in post #8 and never heard any explanation, not that I was expecting any. Aside from my redundant listing of mdma and ecstasy and forgetting about the youporn links, pretty solid imo.

Please to be keeping in mind that I do enjoy perusing BBV4L and I don't think it needs to be removed or anything like that at all as I am a firm believer in freedom of speech.

LeapFrog - I remember reading your post and agreeing with everything you said. I just wanted to reinterate the point again, have him see it from someone else as well.

SneakyFerret - LOL, I'm NOT! I'm OK with BBV4L, but not OK with the hypocricy without some kind of explanation. I don't know, maybe he's just thinking about how to respond....

Let me simplify things for you. The level of stuff on 2p2 that you guys mention is fine. That is the line. Anything beyond that line will result in the destruction of the poker industry.

I have been looking at BBV4L recently and I agree that it is getting out of hand. It's very difficult on that type of forum to know exactly where to draw the line.

Furthermore, it's our preference to be as self-moderated as possible. Through experience we have learned this works best. That means we prefer to let our community, through our volunteer moderators, set these type of standards once we set some guidelines, and we recognize that in general it is best for me not to get involved.

However, that doesn't mean I won't get involved when necessary, and since you bring this up, I do agree with you that the time for me to get involved is probably now. So on Monday, when we re-open our office, I'll begin discussions to address BBV4L and hopefully improve the standards in there.

I never said anything about "improving the standards" of BBV4L and God forbid my post is the cause of the rioting that this would cause.

I was simply asking for an explanation on why/how you feel your forum is preventing poker as being looked upon negatively (unlike other sites).

BBV4L should not blame you for anything. It was just a matter of time that that would happen once Mason stated his position and people in this thread started posting stuff like this thread as examples of 2p2 content. I wonder how many mods and admins have looked at that thread in the two and a half weeks it has been around. The 2p2 offical position regarding types of content that is appropriate on the forums and what actually gets regularly posted on these forums has been very different for a long time, and this gets pointed out every time there's a discussion like this.

And you have absolutely nothing to do with my comments and possible decisions. As others have aleady noticed, I've been looking at BBV4L lately and have been coming to my own conclusions. However, it's very unlikely that I will actually make any decisions regarding BBV4L. My concerns will be passed on to our moderators and addressed by them.

Also, I need to make one other point. We're getting up to 20,000 posts a day. That means that even though I try to spend a fair amount of time on the site, I can't come close to looking at all the forums, less reading all the posts. So there is no hypocrosy here. It just sometimes takes a little time to solve issues which should be addressed a little quicker.
