Anyone heard from him lately. I haven't seen him post in a while. I hope all is well with him.

He was in the paper last week.

it takes time to come up with his nonsensical ramblings and to slander other writers

In one of his threads three people independently posted the grandpa simpson " I had an onion on my belt which was the style at the time" rambling.

He writes interesting stuff sometimes.

I like his stories and don't get the hate tbh.

i like his stories. he's obsessed with a couple things though - inflation and other writers who disagree with him.

Johnny Hughes is on Facebook? After seeing his pic in this thread and having read many Johnny Hughes posts in the past, I would not have pegged him as a big Facebook user.

Check out his last NVG thread from a couple of months ago, and you'll see why he likely won't post here again. He is a little quirky and very opinionated, but a good historian and storyteller. He got far more abuse than he deserved. In my view, NVG is worse without him.

Would be like one of the busto railtards of today recounting durrrr stories in 40 years time from what he remembers reading on 2+2, like he was part of the scene.

you are doing it wrong.

Well, that would still be better than not hearing the durr stories at all.
07-01-2010 , 02:03 AM
too bad hughes doesn't post in other peoples topics.

NVG needs more old time story tellers. There are too few of them around. It's very entertaining regardless if you agree with him or not.
