However, in all fairness we have to keep some things in mind.
1. The owners of this site are not exactly role models, or even necessarily decent human beings. They might be, but that is not really the point. And in fact, I think those of us who have been around a few years know enough to make our own decision on this matter. They are running a business to make money, period, and will do what they feel to be in that best interest, period.
2. Most of the mods of this forum, who I guess theoretically are supposed to be responsible "managers" are for the most part 20-30 year old immature little kids. The vast majority of the mods I have interacted with, I would not trust them to run a lemonade stand or watch my pet goldfish for the night.
So I think it is important to have perspective and keep these points in mind when we see the distressing amount of low class behavior in these forums.
Edit: Also, FWIW Microbob is the mod I have given the most grief to, but I actually think he is ok, even if most of his posts and messages are so long and boring I cannot get through them.
MB, if you see this post I just want you to know I wasn't referring to you this time, and you would be one of the few mods I would trust to watch my goldfish.

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
Really?
First, poor taste is hardly on par with the Holocaust. Second, just about everyone educated in the first world is likely familiar with some version of this already, so it's probably not going to have the inspiring and illuminating effect you're hoping it will.
In fact it pops up in ATF on occasion too. Did this show up in a movie or something lately?
Re: When did mocking handicapped children become acceptable?
as i just said in the other thread
The forums here (especially the off topic/community ones) follow different guidelines, there jokes might be crass, tasteless, despicable to you, but to others they are funny. we are glad your moral compass is pointed north, but imposing your standards is just as bad as a dead baby joke.
In other words if you don't like it , don't read it.
Re: When did mocking handicapped children become acceptable?
Ok, as long as we are supporting the right to post tasteless memes in the name of moral relativism and freedome of expression, we should probably go back and explore some of the classics.
And using Roundguys argument, I checked with my Jewish friend before posting this picture, and he gave the ok so it is cool.

So you're in favour of tasteless memes now ? You should post in BBV.
