The 6 months I was away from poker and the forum was when that hacking shutdown happened and post-hack my password didn't work. I have no idea what email I even used to sign up here, plus I'm almost positive the email doesn't exist as it was a hotmail account. Any suggestions?

Mods I was instructed to come here and inquire about reinstating my old account prior to the site being hacked. I was under krazd13 and would like to try and get that account back (opened sometime in 2008). I was very active in trade forum even helping catch a few scammers. I would like to be eligible to post in marketplace and everywhere else. Trying to sell shares of my Main Event entry. I am currently under luckbox13. Of course and would like to close this account and go back to krazd13. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I can't find the "What to do when you can't access your account" thread (I was sure it was stickied in ATF, but apparently not), so I figured I'd post here.

My laptop exploded yesterday, and though I was super smart and backed up all my files/bookmarks/account info I overlooked my 2+2 login info. I don't know my password, and am unable to access the email account linked with it, so I can't log in to 2+2 on my new laptop.

As you can see, I'm permanently signed in on my desktop so I can still access this account (or at least until my desktop dies, which given that it's 6 years old will probably be sooner rather than later). But how do I change either my password or my associated email address without access to either of them?

Go into your browser settings and checked for saved passwords. It is probably in there.

Since you are logged in you should be able to see which email address is on the account here:

thanks, unfortunately I'm now completely locked out of my LostOstrich account. I found 3 saved passwords in Chrome, none of which appears to be the correct one. Having ingeniously signed out on my desktop in order to try out the 3 passwords, I'm now SOL.

I emailed SGT RJ, and also PM'ed her from my LO account prior to getting completely locked out, so hopefully she can help me recover it. It's not the end of the world as I don't have MP privileges and don't do trades etc so there's no financial value to my account and I'm therefore in no desperate hurry to get it reinstated, it's just the years worth of subscribed threads and PMs I'm missing out on I guess.
