It's a signal from above that some threads in ATF should be serious and ATF.

If you get e-mail notifications of PMs, they conveniently include a copy of the PM.

Well the problem is when you're on like your fourth account and you signed up with a throwaway email that you no longer have access to.

There's an easy option to forward gmail to another account. Then you just filter them to a 2+2 folder and filter further by all your different gimmicks. This is really a must for the true gimmick enthusiast.

I was thinking it was a sign that ATF != BBV4L. Or maybe that's the same thing.

Re: "What to do if you've been banned" sticky - Discussion thread

I've sent mods PM's regarding my banning from OOT. All I've gotten in response is, "mod notes say you're a racist...".

A racist?!?!? How? Not one time has any mod explained to me why these notes are the way they are, who made them, and in what context they are.

So why am I banned again?

I suspect i had/have similarly incorrect notes - i verge on the clinical definition of misanthrope, but whilst taking the piss out of old white dudes is fine, occassionally i make the odd crack about a young black dude and im labelled a "racist" by several - im pretty sure dids actually refered to me as such in a post. Meh, whatev.

Temporary bans are retarded. Especially when you ban someone and don't even delete the ****ing post they got banned for. I agree with kipin. Seriously, what is the point?

Would you prefer that all bans be permanent? I don't get your point.

Re: "What to do if you've been banned" sticky - Discussion thread

Well what is the purpose a temporary ban? To teach a lesson? The rate of recidivism of people who get tempbanned for legitimately "ban-worthy" stuff is probably near 100%, so I don't think it exactly works. It just seems like it's more to exercise the big swinging mod dicks.

i turned that off because i was too popular and all it used to say on the old forums was "you got a private message at 2+2!"
