I got the same message as last time, said my password was not reset within 45 days and had to be reset. Was there another breach?

I got that too. Except I forgot my original password and don't have an active e-mail to send it back to.

Perhaps the admins are making us change passwords every 45 days for security reasons which would be insane imo.

Same here. Unless the db has been hacked again forcing password changes is just an annoyance, it doesn't improve security.

No hack that I know of; there'll be some discussion of whether this is intentional and necessary. Personally, I hate it.

This had better not be intentional, it's my single biggest bugbear - rather than create one secure password and protecting it properly, it just causes people to create multiple less secure passwords

I keep my passwords in a notebook and, after reading '45 days', started a separate page just for 2p2. I love this place but, come on.

This is me forgetting that I had set the password expiration to 45 days to force a reset after the hack. My intention had been to remove the expiration after enough time had gone by...but I forgot. Sorry about that.

The link was supposed to be the KeePass page on sourceforge which has reviews and is a reputable source. I figured Howard might be less willing to trust a "random" site like the keepass homepage. No idea how I messed that up.
Anyway, you can keep Keepass on a USB stick and take your passwords anywhere while being safely stored.
