I don't have anything to do with the business side of 2p2. There's a line in terms of balancing the reputation of the site and balancing ad revenue, but I have no idea where that line is and anyone here pretending they know where it is is full of ****. None of us have the complete information.

And again, where is the personal responsibility? If you know enough about 2p2 to find links to threads suggesting a site has problems and you still have money on there, is that 2p2s fault too?

As I already stated, I argued 2p2 should cut ties with Lock after the Girah scandal, but I don't think 2p2 has a serious ethical problem just because they didn't.

Anyone who expected Poker Stars reliability when signing up for a Merge skin should have their head examined. We were SOL after BF so we took a shot. The RPM forum did more good than bad and I was happy to have a sponsored site to go to when there were problems.

Some people just can't take responsibility for their own decisions and need to blame someone else.

My rpm funds were transferred over to a different merge skin no problem. This complaining isn't even about the regular funds. It is about the value of points and tourney tickets...and that's it.

Pokerstars did not give full value for player points when they pulled out of the US either. Difference was only a few bucks really...probably about $100 or so in my case...but for many of the rpm complainers I suspect may be roughly the same.

But Stars paid. And RPM money was transferred over to a different Merge site for you. RPM didn't even take people's regular funds. I think a lot of people are under the impression that they did.

I think there's a big difference in a banner ad and engaging with an outfit to provide a sponsored forum under the 2p2 brand. The latter implies some level of endorsement from 2p2, I think. The coaches thing is something I'm completely unaware of. If your contention is that 2p2 is taking money from talentless "coaches" to scam users of this forum, it just underscores my point that this is something 2p2 might want to look into going forward. Or if they don't give a **** about the brand, not.

As to Chicago's post, where he pulls off crapping on me while agreeing with my point at the same time, do you have a coach ad?

Except there's a redirect page that makes you agree that 2p2 is not liable before you can enter the coaching thread.

I don't think anybody is under the impression that 2p2 endorses or gives a seal of approval to these sites. The sites who are interested in having a forum must simply pay for the privilege.

It's a much better situation having these forums around so players can interact with support.

Everything 2p2 does is a positive in this regard.

Walter - Regardless of any of that: RPM still refunded everyone's money anyway.

Blaming 2+2 for RPM's decision to not refund player points is the same as blaming them for Stars' decision to not give full value on the points as well. And it's a bit like blaming 2+2 for Black Friday, "OMG...Stars pulled out of the USA?!?! This is all 2+2's fault. Thanks guys!" Really ridiculous.

But yes, 2+2 accepts money from some pretty bad coaches.

OP arguing that 2p2 owes him anything just because RPM sucks is ridiculous and seriously clouds the rest of his argument. If any site is found to be a huge negative to the poker world then I agree that 2p2 should cut ties with them, but I'm not sure where that line is.
