Quotes placed Sure, lol! My students used to question my non-cussing as well, but I explained that I couldn't cuss at work, I never felt the need to cuss at myself at home and if I did, it would probably work its way into the classroom if it became a habit.

I never heard any cuss words growing up from adults or kids (a kid would have been belted), we weren't even allowed to say the word alcohol out loud, I grew up in a very different world. (Not better in any way, but we did not use scatological terms. My sisters and I will spell out a word like b u t t, that's as bad as we get, lol.)

In researching for the book, it seems that cops are required to cuss to sound "authentic". I'm working around that constraint by having my protagonist be working on sainthood! JK
