I'm not really seeing how that answers my question; maybe I'm not being clear, or I'm not understanding you correctly.

I know what a subforum looks like - what I'm asking is whether you mean a general forum like our Internet Poker forum, but for play money sites only, or another strategy forum, but for play money strategy only.

I could maybe see this getting at least some consideration if play money issues were getting a lot of posts in Internet Poker, but they really aren't. There's no reason those sites can't be discussed in Internet Poker, as they are now.

I worry sometimes, especially lately, we are so used to disappointment and unfavorable change, we start to lose inspiration in regard to new ideas and solutions proposed. The industry has been beaten up, but its worse than that, to quote Timex from the recent podcast:

I have, what I think is, good reason to believe that we have approached a stalemate with many respects to the current environment the players face. I think the boycott's were interesting for example, but whatever they might have accomplished, it seems their effects have worn off, and the players are left with little to no options. No sites compare to the software of the status quo, and so the competition is evaluated accordingly with respect to effective rake (some leave many play).

We know its not optimal, but most players realize there are seemingly no +ev strategy lines left to take.

Then I propose we seek a higher order solution-technology. I propose a new section/forum for the purpose of facilitating the benefits of relevant technology (poker related!), which includes among other subject bitcoin, crypto, and decentralized platforms such as ethereum and smart contracts in general.

In short:

I think what would be crucial for this to be beneficial is 1) There is a specific section created for this and 2) The content by and large is to be poker related (ie how does this help the poker community).

The idea is poker software and hud's etc may have a place there, sort of provided they don't belong in other section of the overall forum already (legacy!). The content we are looking for is technology that will effect the relevant future for the game as well as the crypto currency movement which is natural very relevant to this topic.

We want to find some players that will find out, how this technology could benefit the players community.

It used to be that technology was clunky, and not very relevant. But the speed at which it evolves today I think makes it crucial that a complex community such as this keep well up to date with beneficial and malicious technology.

I tried to keep the proposal general, I don't care what its called or the specifics so much as there is room for the complexity of the subject/content to evolve

Yes. Properly moderated interaction (debate!) is how we are able to test our theories and levate the strongest ones. As I said from the above:

I would like "need to know/advice forum". Something that can be a catch all for anyone needing information, such as the name of a song or movie, how to fix something, job/family/relationship advice, etc.
