And why are you doing this by PM instead of using the report post function?

Re: Sporting Events Mods

Perhaps you already did this, but that's what the post report button is for.

What was the profane abuse? Did you link to it? If you want action now is your chance right here so stop being so vague you silly-head.

I tried everything. I reported it, PMed it, complained about it itt, escalated it to the next mod up but got no response from either of them.

That was some time ago but I was reminded of it by the latest incident. It's by forthwrite and it's still on the Euro 2012 thread (posted yesterday).

"Someone please make a spascwoc containment thread and don't let him post anywhere else."

OK so it's feeble name calling and not nastily profane like the previous post I'm complaining about but it's also considered offensive to those suffering from cerebral palsy.

Re: Sporting Events Mods

Link to the post that had the profane abuse that you complained to them about....not a post that you did not report that has no profane abuse.

These instructions are not complicated.

Are you going to do something about it ? It might take a while to dig up. Don't you have any opinion on the post I have given details of ?

You appear to be an apologist for racism, anti-Semitism and homophobia.

Re: Sporting Events Mods

If you report a post and nothing is done, you Pm the mod and they don't respond the likely answer is they don't find the post you are talking about that "profane" , how long are we talking did you "wait" between reporting, PMing and making this thread? Mods are volunteers we are not here 24/7 so I hope you gave it all a few days.

Where is the profanity ? All I see is a bunch of stars and the basic tone of that post is inline with lots of SE postings...

It was months ago so I've given it months. I just gave up as I didn't want to make an issue out of it and get banned, which seems to happen to posters who complain loudly. The problem with the football thread is the yobbish culture of football fans which is fully displayed in it and too much of which is accepted by the mod imo.

I assume by football you mean soccer, aka the EPL thread(s)...

Complaining won't get you banned generally, its the manor that most users do it that gets them banned.

I will assume you tried Clark and tuq? They are both active and responsive generally
