I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a serious and respectful discussion of this in OOT would be allowed but jokes in bad taste in his old threads in bbv4l are probably going to be locked.

This is in no way an official statement; just a clarification as a mod. A few Travel forum Thailand threads have been moved to the Mod forum, and discussion is ongoing. It is the weekend, so one might expect things to move a little slower right now.

It's not uncommon for threads to be moved to the mod forum from time to time, discussed, and often (but not always) moved back. I'd suggest giving it a day to see what's decided.
