SGT RJ is abusing her power - About the Forums

This is not the first time she has abused her power in my opinion. One instance was the urubu thread where someone saw urubu flip with someone and leave before agreed money was transferred. Within 30 posts she locked the thread without even finding out from urubu whether there was any truth in it. The issue's resolved now, but her actions could have resulted in something untoward happening (no judgement on urubu's character, but another person may have got away with this and not paid because of a mod's actions.)

Another example was today on the Erick Lindgren thread. A new poster involved in the Las Vegas poker scene came out with some information about Lindgren, Negreanu and Layne flack amongst other things. The person wished to remain anonymous because they probably see these people all the time and don't want to end up getting into trouble. SGT RJ went and deleted the posts and started handing out infractions to people. As you can see, people weren't happy and I personally had a post deleted too.

It always seems that it's SGT RJ making hasty decisions and chirping in as if she has some profound wisdom in threads. Other mods seem to let people actually discuss things on forums and see if there's any truth rather than locking a thread before anyone even responds.

The truth is she gained the mod title because she wrote some cliff notes in the Girah scandal summarising RangeyMcTriplmerge who got very little acknowledgement for his research/work. Going through her content, she made threads in BBV4L regarding enjoying anal sex and other very low content threads.

Now as this is in the right section, I hope it's allowed to stay. I personally feel she is too heavy handed and either needs to get in line with the other moderators and let people discuss things. If she can't do that, then the only option is to remove her privileges as she's damaging the forum currently. I have made a poll and it's anonymous so people don't have to fear being punished for voicing an opinion.

I don't really follow. You said one of your posts got deleted this morning, should it have been deleted or should it have been allowed to stay? Was it SGT. RJ who deleted it or another mod?

I already explained why that poster was deleted and banned in the thread, but I'll do so again.

There was no proof of any of the mystery poster's speculation/accusations/claims, other than him repeatedly saying "I'm exposing the real truth" and saying "if you ask around, you'll see I"m right". He then admitted he was lying (claiming DN had been in a threesome). He had zero credibility and zero evidence, and the thread was completely spiraling off to talk about this guy's wild stories.

What if someone decided to just make up stuff about you? No idea who it is, no proof, no nothing, just stories and vague stuff like "ask around, you'll see I'm right."

I got a post report someone was trolling. I looked into it, determined that it was indeed trolling, and given that it was a brand new poster, OTBCed him. I believe that's completely consistent with the way NVG is modded.

There's was nothing hasty about it. I responded to a post report.

I take a charge that I'm "abusing my power" pretty seriously, and I think in this context it is nothing by hyperbole. What power exactly do you think I was abusing?

It appears she and maybe for that matter others that control 2p2 wanted to keep Daniel happy, so they protected him.

I personally somewhat believe "TheReal" when he talked about Daniel because it was so outlandish and Daniel actually responded pretty quickly. There are millions of posts on this sight calling pros gay or whatever, why would Daniel jump to defend himself on this post.

In b4 I get my post deleted, this thread gets locked and I get a strike against me.

While I think my post was pretty funny and went along with a joke already itt, it had every right to be deleted.

Also the "precious deleted content" was really 1 point that could have been said in 5 words but instead was said in 5 ridiculous paragraphs.

SGT, I tend to find you really thought provoking and fair (i.e. loving to share knowledge, but tough on those who deserve it), so please let me make a quick case for why the posts should have stayed and then be done with it.

In essence, I don't think what the guy said was trolling at all. He basically said that Layne is the one that owes DN all of that money (something that >20 posters said before him), and then went on to describe why DN still protects him. Note that DN refuted none of this. He then discussed why no one who has come to E-Scam's defense will actually cover his debts. Again, none of the posters refuted this either. He then mentioned a shared relationship (which DN did refute), before closing by saying that DN is a borderline hypocrite on his rants (once again, nothing that hasn't been noted hundreds of times before).

There is no way that this can be considered trolling imo, and the fact that only one sentence towards the very bottom of his post was refuted by DN is extremely telling as well. He said that he was a frequent lurker and that this was the first time that he felt compelled to post, and there is nothing in his post that would discredit that (he wasn't just throwing out juvenile insults or anything of the sort).

Please reconsider your stance on this one.

Daniel had a thread about playing high stakes in NVG and he got trashed on consistently and constantly and said he was gonna quit the forums multiple times and no one batted an eyelash.

Yeah, Daniel showed up pretty quick, denied he was in a threesome, and didn't deny one word about how it was Layne Flack who owed him 500K. Lots of things come out of these anonymous posters who pop up from time to time. Daniels response kinda gave the guy credibility to be honest.

If the poster had stuck to a story about Flack it probably would have been fine. As someone pointed out, others have been speculating on the identity of the half million dollar debtor, and that's arguably within the context of the thread since high stakes player debt is an obvious issue.

But he kept going on and on about the "threesome story", and after repeatedly saying "I'm telling the 100% honest truth", he the admitted he wasn't. Part of his whole self-claim to credibility was "here, I have these stories and they are all true, ask anyone", only to admit one of them wasn't true.

Zero credibility, and kept going on and one about the threesome story - "oh i'm so sorry I shouldn't have said that but haha i'm just laying down the truth, i'm in the know and everything I say is 100% factual".

Trolling, pure and simple. He was looking for attention and validation, and the thread was now all about this guy. Seems like a pretty easy troll deletion to me.

And what power, exactly, do you think I'm abusing? You've taken one example and applied it to my entire modding in NVG. So if you disagree with this issue, suddenly I'm too active and heavy handed and I'm abusive?

Way to load the poll while trying to pretend you aren't.

A little different now with his reputation and credibility as a person, and "poker ambassador" title being questioned rather than just random trolling for how bad he plays etc.
