Pretty much. But that seems standard for that forum, which has seemed to infest ATF lately and is largely responsible for nearly every thread being locked. It's like it's where good posters go to die/get banned.

Anyway you guys are being slow. The reason this forum (2p2) needs more moderation is that the owners and admins are MORE lax and libertarian than on most sites. They are willing to put up with bad jokes and crazy opinions, even ones that are negative towards the policies and products of their company. Because of this, they have been very successful in this community that values merit above all (whether merit of ideas or of humor or whatever).

They seem more strict because we are poker players who are naturally resistant to authority and we are used to trollheavens like NVG being a comparison, but in reality the fact that you can come on here and have a modicum of free speech is rare. Kipin is right that eventually they may get worn out by dealing with the negative aspects of this, and this may hurt the forums long-term viability, but hopefully they will come up with more policies like this thread/sticky that make it easier for them to deal with the intellectual openness that makes it possible for a forum like BBV to break the AP scandal or have a thread-cat thread but also makes people want to post boobs.
