preki's ban was way overreaching.
He simply asked someone if he was too stupid to use google. I think that is a fair question.

i'm just speculating here, but perhaps that was the post that tipped the scale. preki has been spewing his vitriol and being generally confrontational in countless other posts. i'd also guess that he should heed this warning and conform, and if he doesn't, he'll be banned forever.

If you're going to quote preki's post you should also quote this one. Clearly preki has been warned via pm. Maybe the other guy hadn't been warned yet and got a warning? Preki should worry about his conduct and not anyone elses and whether it's "fair". Life ain't fair. Preki has a very long history of being a horrible poster and should realize there's going to be a lot less tolerance for bad behavior from him.

It's also hilarious when people react to a short ban as if being allowed to post on 2p2 is a life or death situation.

If so, that seems like a silly assumption to make when you know nothing of preki's history - 17 infractions by 9 different mods, 14 user notes related to posting issues, and many, many bans on his main account and numerous gimmick accounts. Recently he's been on quite a tear, including using a gimmick account to post in someone's PG&C thread that he's been told multiple times he's banned from, the insult post you're talking about, a racist post, and I know I reported him for some insulting posts in Politics. It's hard to imagine a ban that would be a worse one to criticize.

If you get banned or tempbanned, you are not aupposed to make or use a gimmick, not supposed to make others make an atf thread, but feel free to reach out to the mod who banned you even though you have no way to reach out to him or her as the case may be

The sticky literally tells you to first contact the mod who banned you before talking to anyone else, so... maybe new management needs to either change the sticky, or relay that policy to the mods.

There was a second post in the sticky that gave Mat's e-mail as the contact point, but that was subsequently removed and a replacement post accidentally overlooked.

Not many banned people seem to have wanted to contact anyone for some long time now, but I think the few that did used the method of opening a new account just to make contact without using the new account for general posting.
