And there it is: An absolutely perfect example of what I dealt with in the main back then, when I was banned for, you know, responding ... and did so in a much more restrained manner.

Falcon has been irrelevant for several years now, and still can't get my message correct at all. That kind of behavior, of course, is still welcomed in the main.

While the first paragraph is true, the 2nd is most certainly not. To Jiggs anything and everything is about Peak Oil. It is very tiresome.

If he promised to talk about it less and contain peak oil discussions to those threads where it is relevant I wouldn't have a problem with him posting in politics.

Jiggs seems more knowledgeable than the majority of posters, and doesn't seem to troll the way many others do. I was surprised to find that he was banned the first time I heard that it was the case.

So it boils down to this "peak oil" business? When phrased as a "world with limited resources," that doesn't seem to be so bad, especially considered in light of the liberal majority in Politics, who I would think are accepting of that concept. If he hones in on "peak oil" specifically too often or in the wrong thread, then I would think a warning would set him straight as he knows what could happen.

I think he shouldn't be banned, and that it's bizarre that he remains so, again comparatively speaking.

I've only read the OP, and I lurk in politics much more than I post, and the moment I saw Jiggs' name my first thought was "Jiiiiiiiggs" and my second thought was peak oil, but that said, I always found his posts informative and fun.

I vote yes, and really question why he wouldn't be allowed to post there in the first place. there are lots of people who specifically just point out the faults of someone else's argument without putting forth their own and spend dozens of posts arguing semantics.

Jiggs definitely brings a unique viewpoint or two to that forum..

Jiggs defending his posting value when all he wrote about was conspiracy theories and how global economic collapse is happening next year, the year after at the latest, is pretty lol.

Politics hit peak Jiggs a long time ago, then there was no more Jiggs. We were forced to come up with alternative posters. Yes the politics forum took a hit when we ran out of Jiggs, but our society has survived the transition.

Here's the poster who created the lol thread asking for my input on his surface-level understanding of world oil price decline. I had posted in the economics forum all year until Wookie arbitrarily decided I wasn't allowed in there either. ... You know, not because I did anything wrong, but because he hates my message and arbitrarily extended the politics ban to econ as well. Not sure why he allowed me to post in economics for 15 months before, but I presume it had to do with reminding the forum that the recovery continues to stall due to historically high oil price. Again.
