Is the moderation team aware of the situation in the Omaha strategy forum? It's been reported in both the 'Coaches & Schools' forum and the Omaha strategy forum.

To summarize:
A community member [DumbosTrunk] has character assassinated me in an effort to promote his coaching services in non-designated areas. I can't imagine it is allowable under forum rules.

To the extent there has been any character assassination, it was monikrazy’s own doing. Monikrazy started this issue when he posted in my coaching thread, unprovoked, in an effort to smear my reputation w/r/t my ability to provide coaching services. In that sense, he clearly “character assassinated” me first, implying that it would be unethical and irresponsible for me to coach students based on some incomplete strategy threads I posted. I then brought his post to the attention of the community and challenged him to a heads up match. My post has 7 likes and counting, which to me indicates a number of community members agree with the spirit of the post.

Everything flowed from his decision to undermine my new coaching business. In my view, he brought this upon himself and is now simply unhappy I called him out for unfairly flaming my coaching thread. I asked that his post, which was misleading and not based on reliable evidence that had no bearing on my ability to coach, be deleted. It has not been. In an effort to undo the damage, I have asked for positive references from others I have helped who are very happy with their poker results after I assisted them. If this was a legal matter, Monikrazy would have committed both defamation and tortious interference with an expectancy.

Monikrazy was clearly attempting to interfere with my new business over a personal gripe he has with me and my strat threads and the fact that we disagreed about correct strategy in one recent thread. I thought that was extremely not in the spirit of this site and malicious. I was NOT trying to promote my coaching services when I made the post calling him out, I was simply trying to settle a score that he started by offering a heads up challenge, a challenge which he declined.

I have become so disgusted with his behavior that I have sworn myself off indefinitely from contributing to the Omaha forum, a loss to the community.

Small update. Niss (omaha forum mod) locked the omaha thread, there were some technical issues that may have contributed to the the thread not being brought to his attention earlier.

I sent the coaching mod a PM in case there is a site-wide issue with the report thread functionality. Most likely he wasn't aware of the dispute either.

Please no one else continue posting here until all relevant mods have had a chance to review the situation, any mods who read this post can probably safely lock this thread at present.
