KruZe and domer attacked her by name, killer described her post as "absurd" without actually responding to any of it, and you yourself used the word "pretending" to refer to what she had claimed to feel.

All of it was part of an effort to de-legitimize her post by making baseless attacks on her sincerity, credibility, and even her right to post in the thread at all.

Since we're on the topic of intellectual honesty here, that action was exactly the opposite of the sentiment that he had expressed throughout the entire course of the thread.

Yes, and I am ignoring that because it was clearly an action taken by a single mod without any kind of approval from the rest. Others will do so as well.

That has absolutely nothing to do with whether HE07 has any idea of what's going on beyond the fact that Crossnerd is involved.

The way this thread got all AIDSed up is very exemplary of the lolpog we are talking about. People with zero affability being in charge of the having fun committee. Filthy doesn't deserve being lumped in with the others. Crossnerd seems to concentrate on keeping her composure, if it's because some stoic male vs crazy female stereotypes or some **** then it just sucks. Seeing people turn into one of them is heartbreaking.

I'm sorry, I explained myself poorly. What he said was absurd was specifically in relation to what VR said about how Miss POG makes her feel, and he posted it in direct response to one of domer's posts in which he made a thinly veiled accusation that VR (and others) were lying about their beliefs in order to create fake drama. It was clearly piling on.

Yes, if it stops you from making the (ever so occasional) great post. POG is all set on robots. What's in demand are keywords such as FLAIR, ZEST, SHATS. You can't have that in an overly regulated environment.

Can we close this thread? This is turning into another slander thread against the mods that is embarrassing for us poggers that actually love the forum and are trying to keep it alive. I know every mod works hard to do this same, regardless of petty dramas there are between people.

I am not mad at you for anything. I think Ms POG and threads related to it has featured some of the best posting POG has seen in years. It makes me nostalgic for postgiantmashcouplenewpagesingrievance****yea.

People getting banned for no reason and threads getting locked is kinda bull**** though.

I tried to post in this thread before it got moved, so you're getting my thoughts about the Miss POG stuff even if it doesn't directly pertain to the topic at hand.

I toyed with the idea with Noah of mooting to POG whether Miss POG should be stopped. It made me uncomfortable. We came to the conclusion that because both TN and I were mods at the time that posters would interpret it as crazy female mods ruining POG, or whatever. We decided it wasn't worth the drama.

There's a whole thing about being a woman in a male dominated space - you go along with things to fit in. If I fought every guy who was being sexist I'd have quit POG after about 3 weeks. Plus there's this whole insidious phenomenon of the 'i'm not like other girls' mentality. I tried to nominate women who at least something else going for them that's not 'looks great in a bikini' but it didn't always work. Plus I felt that if I ran it I could have more sway over it, such as not allowing porn stars or whatever.

Frankly, this is quite a personal subject to me as during that time on POG I was experiencing anorexia, and whilst Miss POG did not directly cause it, it's representative of the wider societal issues that did. Valuing women on their looks first, thoughts opinions and ideas second. I see there is now a Person of the Year thread, and I have a funny feeling that if there are men contributed that they are going to judged on their achievements, what they have created or discovered, and not how good they look with their top off.

But yes, in summary, no more hot women contests if at all possible.

Totally onboard with TL's post and it has opened my eyes from my views on the contest as originally being just that - another game/contest that I could win.

But these debates have evolved into everyone just attacking each other and this is no better than the underlying issues that Mrs POG has/may have caused.

To move on from this we need everyone to drop it, be respectful and continue doing what we can to make POG thrive. Unfortunately, I think this may be too tall a task to ask from some

Not that anyone particularly cares but I am fine with the people of POG getting shown that TL post, there being a round of final arguments and having a referendum on whether Ms POG should continue.

Not to trivialize these important matters but this is all off topic and the concerns and grievances regarding the modding are still valid.

I honestly dont care about miss pog at all. But the strongest opponents of it are a group of intolerant politically correct bullies that have gone out of their way to run people off that dont have their world view. So the push for banning miss pog wasnt exactly pulling me in.

However.... TL does it for me. She was one of the greatest people to ever set foot in pog and I respect her opinion. I view her as a level setter in this matter.

So, yeah. Thats my two cents. Doubt I go back there, though. Its not a nice place.

The issue is that there is no team of mods and the current mods are playing tug of war with each other openly in the threads, it's kind of a joke. You have to work with each other outside of the threads, try to see all the sides and reach a collective decision. If it's obvious that you have everyone's best interest in mind then people will respect it even if they disagree.

I personally think a team can be comprised of you, KruZe and Monte. There are some in this thread who think MB is a good mod. He might be, idk. but the argument against that is that he obviously isn't gelling with the other mods. If you need to add people then I have made my personal recommendations as well. But I am just one man, and there are many who spend more time on POG than I.

Anniversary just around the corner, please make POG great again.
