Politics version 7.0 discussion safe space - Page 3 - About the Forums

An extra politics forum exists because, originally, Mat felt bad for Lirva and gave him a forum where he could spew his idiocy as much as he wanted without bothering the rest of us. It has always been, and remains now, a cesspool where awful posters go to spread their derp so that it doesn't have to be spread around the rest of 2+2 (similar to how the original Politics formerly served that function to save the rest of the forums from political discussion).

There is a reason that PU, and not P, has been the forum to go through several moderation changes in the last few years, lol.

yes, but all bigots know that hate speech is diminished by time, thus leaving hate speech on Mason's and the Sklansky's site for the whole world, advertisers included, to see is actually a good thing, because time-diminished hate speech isn't actually hate speech!

There are plenty of people visiting the forum who can see what is going on Trolly. For those who haven't yet visited:

Politics Unchained allowed these posts for many years.
For the first time they are no longer allowed.
The rules are not yet well known or understood.
When posts are made that would previously have been acceptable, I am explaining to the poster and participants in the thread what isn't allowed any more. They will increasing lose the ability to post if they dont comply.
There's a lively discussion going on as people are begining to understand that its no longer unchained and exactly how the rules work. This would not be possible if the posts were deleted.
The focus is on changing the forum from how it has been for many years to the new modded one with rules

I welcome views and critcism of this approach both here and in Politics version 7.0
