Hello,

I am writing up a Vegas trip report where I met/was within close proximity to two very well known poker players. Both were in a casino, one was actually gambling in the pits, the other was seemingly taking a break from playing poker. Are there any rules on naming them or should I not? Is there a difference between naming the one who was gambling and the other who was just hanging around?

I don't see why you can't say the name of a person, and what they were doing, if you saw them doing it in public. But this is just my opinion, not a ruling. I don't mod anywhere where that kind of thing really happens much.

In B&M we don't allow the naming/identifying of non-famous people, but famous people are fine. How you qualify someone as famous is a bit subjective though. I would ask the mod(s) of whatever forum you were going to post the trip report, which I assume is either B&M or LVL.

If B&M, I'll just give you the go-ahead right now to post it, and if it's determined the names/descriptions should be redacted, I'll take care of it.

Both poker players have been on television extensively including non-poker programming and well known movies. Which LVL mod should I contact? Thanks.
