But this is a ridiculous example to try to make your argument. OP didn't read bother to read the rules of the thread in which he posted, despite the thread title which includes the words READ THE FIRST POST AND has a disclaimer, sent a rude response to the mod after he got an infraction, then didn't learn from his mistake and posted this thread in the wrong forum (and wasn't infracted for that, BTW).

Brand new posters are usually given leeway when they make obvious mistakes, but when someone has been around for 2+ years and then throws a hissy fit over a simple infraction, it's not the mods who are being horrible.

I was generalising and not referring specifically to the OP but to the theme of this thread in general - if I was to start a separate thread discussing the issue of whether mods do a good job or not then the thread would be taken down and I might receive an infraction. The mods here do overreact, regardless of whether posts are reported or unreported. They can be extremely pedantic when it comes to deciding what is "on topic" and what is "off topic". This is an informed opinion and I think it is fair comment. There are exceptions - some of the mods are engaging, manage their repsonsibilities well and add to the character of their forums.

More than that, Mike Haven is invaluable to the forums. He's been doing daily work over there at the expense of his time and energy for long time. As much as he does in the open he puts a LOT of behind the scenes effort and is very thorough.

Dude, Give up I admitted I was wrong and didn't read as obviously you have not read the thread. I WAS WRONG and we have moved on. Did you have to post something that was already said?

Yes reading an internet forum is much like reading a stop sign. I've killed over 400 people by running stop signs b/c I can't read. It's a disease I'm getting help for much like drinking. NO SIGN reading is like crack it's really hard to stop.
