Re: MicroBob (SportsBetting Mod) Needs to go (take 2)

Brian - I was going to post a few quotes from you from the beginning of your thread where gmcarroll and poogs pretty much say NOTHING to you and you proceed to freakout about it and babble about buying a house for your girlfriend, etc. But why bother. It's there in the thread.

When Poogs offers bet of $1,000:
Instead of "This is causing me stress. All you guys do is accuse. I just want to post picks and you don't believe me that I'm really really smart. I've been doing this for soooo long and bought my girlfriend a house..etc etc"

You simply say, "no thanks. I'll just keep posting my picks here."

It's not hard.

To gmcarroll's extremely valid observation on sample-size of the stats you were bringing up, you freaked out. Totally unprovoked.

It's not anyone else's fault here. I'm not going to tell other posters to refrain from posting their observations as to the flaws as they see them. That's what discussion is about. It's completely reasonable.

Your views on the moderation of the forum, and chronic's too, are not in line with what most of the forum wants. They actually WANT to be allowed to point to a flaw in an argument or sample-size if they see one. If you get personally offended by that then that's your issue. Same if you get offended by one guy asking if you would like to bet $1,000.

Similarly, we aren't going to allow some poker strategy poster to say that 72o is better than AA because it wins more when he has played it in 23 hands.

And if I see somebody backing up their own claims of something like that by saying, "What the hell do you know? I've made so much money in the past five years that I bought a house for my girlfriend" then I'm going to point that out too. Because it's a really ridiculous thing to say.

What difference does it make between your "survivor" proposal and making a poll between you and someone else to be a mod?

Not leave all the forums. Just Sports Betting forum is all.

If I'm so unpopular and nobody likes me as you claim then I would think you would jump on this opportunity. It would be a great chance for you to get rid of me once and for all. Your massive popularity of the SB forum would be the driving force to get rid of the evil and super-unpopular mod whom you despise so much.

Sure we can do that and have a clause that when you leave, wiper will fill your shoes?
Only reason anyone would want to keep you is because they are afraid the next mod will be like ness.

Re: MicroBob (SportsBetting Mod) Needs to go (take 2)

Chronic - I am not going to accept a vote/pool against another mod. And that wouldn't be allowed anyway.

If the regs of sports betting want a new mod then that is fine and no vote is necessary. We've said that before too. But most are fine with me in there.

How do you think the others view you as a poster?

There would be no clause. You do not get to choose the next mod.

That is not the only reason anyone would want to keep me. There are a variety of reasons...which have been expressed very well by other posters who think I'm fine. Go back and read them if you like.

Iam not choosing the next mod. Many people in the Sb forum have called for wiper or some1 else to be mod.
Iam not the only person choosing him
We can make a thread in sb forum and ask if people would be ok if wiper or some1 else can be a mod
But based on previous posts from many posters in SB , many people have suggested wiper and he is willing to be a mod if you choose to step down

chronic - Where are they? They are not jumping to your defense in this thread. Get it? You are on a one-man crusade here (well, two if Brian counts)

Do you know Brian at all outside the forum?
Do you know crystal exstacy at all outside the forum?

I have followed Brian's threads on covers and sbr forum and know he is accomplished and a wining capper which is why I'm angry that you chased him out of here.

as for Crystal extacy , that happens to be my little brother who loves baseball and we share an apartment. I asked him to refrain from posting in sb forum after he made this post . so It has been almost a week since he posted anything in the sb forum thanks to you

I play poker for living and this is just a hobby for me, If I lose I lose , but I do like to minimize my losses by taking chances on tailing random people.

hard to even take you serious anymore since every post you make is a trolly or hate post. acting like the virtual enforcer of a poker forum must give you some cyber superiority or something . you really need to find other enjoyable things in life.
This is what comes to my mind everytime I see one of your posts

I'm done with this sb forum/thread. Brian : I'll be lurking from here on out . gl
Micro : you suck
After that post I make a clear post telling him to calm down and referring to him
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=165

He wanted to chime in this thread also but I told him not to because it would not be fair because he views you in the same way that I view you and him posting from a same ip would be unethical.
Last time I checked , people were allowed to have multiple accounts from the same household. Or let me guess you are now going to try to change the topic and accuse me of posting under 2 names?
same way you tried to accuse me of being a Jdwarriors5 gimmick?

maybe , we should let this thread run its course for another 12 hours or so and let people chime in and if noone comes in than perhaps you are the right mod.

He's your brother? That's hilarious.

Whoa, calm down.

I didn't do, say or accuse anything. You both seemed to have similarities in the Brian thread so I asked.

I wasn't even thinking about that post where he freaked out like that. I was mostly just looking back at how you both jumped in as big followers of Brian's very quickly.

But thanks for the reminder about his strange reaction there too.

Whoa sparky. Didn't see you had added more to the post via edit.

I guess I replied too quickly.

I politely asked you why you shared an ip address with him, via PM. It wasn't a big deal. Feel free to make it one though if you want.

I'm busy for part of the weekend anyway so am fine with letting the thread be. Feel like I was kind of done regardless. Thanks,

Re: MicroBob (SportsBetting Mod) Needs to go (take 2)

The fact that gmcarroll said at bats were a small sample size in MLB shows his general lack of understanding baseball. If a person is 3-10 vs. a pitcher... yes, small sample size that is hard to prove anything.... But when a batter is hitting 5-9 or 9-10 vs. a pitcher, it shows that he has a good read on his pitches... just like a person who is 0-10 vs. a pitcher, it shows hes not reading the pitches well at all. Criticism like that shows you don't have a clue.

As for the challenge, Poogs changed the details twice within a day.... it went from a whole season to 150 plays.... Its gone from not counting my plays to counting them. He obviously is not the most reliable person to make a bet with, as it took him how long to actually send the $$?? Besides that, I didn't go off.... I said that if I do go on a losing streak, which anyone knows is always possible, I'm gonna end up losing 5 figures... so why would I want to risk another $1000? I made it clear that it just isn't worth the stress.... and that I don't have to proof to anyone, anything. So what exactly is the point of a contest with someone I don't even know, and don't know is reliable at all? People talk about escrowing.. but how do I know that person isn't going to steal from me as well? I've been cheated out of tens of thousands of dollars in my life, and I don't even want to risk 1k more on something that I have no idea is reliable.

Its pretty understandable to someone who had a neutral POV.
