The point is that vouching doesn't guarantee that someone who has shown repeated disreguard for the rules is going to suddenly clue in. What you don't seem to understand is that there are two equally important criteria to gaining access to the Marketplace:

1 - The applicant is not shady.
2 - The applicant is able to follow the rules so that the Marketplace forum can continue to function in a safe and efficient fashion.

Neither of these is more important than the other!

While evechad may well be a stand up guy who would never cause any serious problems, his inability to follow simple rules and procudres suggests that he's going to make the administration of the Marketplace by the Marketplace mods more difficult than it needs to be. And until he (or anyone in a similar position) demonstrates this is not the case, they're not going to grant him the privilege.

Unless you're willing to A) Hire a bunch of people to do the policing and/or B) Guarantee any loses to people scammed because the Marketplace becomes unmanegable you need understand the realities of what's required to keep the forums functioning.

Note: I'm not a Marketplace mod. I have nothing to with approving or policing the Marketplace forums. I just see how much work these volunteers put into the place only to be met with this misplaced sense of entitlement and mememememe.

If the poster wants to pay out the money first to the responder, then collect from his friend, I'm ok with it. However, I suspect he isn't looking to do that.

the subjectivity in the process should only be "what do I as mod of the marketplace think of this poster's use history on 2+2 and how it relates to the marketplace."
Fair enough,,I personally think a personal recommendation from someone I trust is worth more than 6 months of non-infracted posting but I don't know how it would be implemented so fine.

CMAR, I don't generally respond to nonsense, so I think I wrote enough. You need to chill out dude, you seem a bit fired up

Re: Marketplace Approval

OP you are acting like a douche it's a damn shame too because some well known people stuck up for you at the onset of this thread.

Do you think members like myself or anyone else that doesn't know you on a first hand bias is going to want to do business with you the way you are conducting yourself ?

Re: Marketplace Approval

OP seems alright, just maybe a little impatient. He probably hasn't spent enough time in those forums to know why they're moderated in the way that they are.

3 infractions in < 200 posts is a rough start. Deciding the rules are too stupid to follow is a problem. Then making a post acknowledging you know a rule but are breaking it because you're in a hurry... no. It's not his integrity or the stakes he plays that matters there.

Re: Marketplace Approval

If Chad is "gay", then would it still be an infraction for him to say "gays", given that he would then be "gay" already?

Or, would he be able to apply for "pre-approval" to use a "pre-altered and moderator-conditioned" form of the colloquial expression, such as "gayz" or "gaiz" (not to be confused with his purported "off-line" profession harvesting "maiz" or "maize", defined regionally-specific).

Insofar and hitherto considered, then perhaps just "coming out" on the forum would be easiest, fromwhenceupon the use of "us gays" would be contextually, forum-acceptable given that he would have already simply posted, with screen-shots both verbal and, of course, oral proof, of such characterizations, including, but not limited to, things such as "Hi, guys, I *am* gay!" or "Gay guys are good--try me sometime!", fromwhitheralas, he could then simply release his inner-"gay"-child to simply advertise in the Marketplace, under such pre-texts and without undo or harsh bias, for "General Classified" transactions such as: "WTB: Gay Blow Dryer Surplus Blow Out!" or "WTS: Poker Blo 'n Go, Express Morning or Nite Blo-Dryer for Real 'All-in' Men".

Adding such *diversity* to said MarketPlace could indeed be a pearly-charm gem to all who are registered members and pre-authorized or otherwise pre-empted to use such forums, let alone the newer, un-accepted or un-acceptable members, or vistors, of dubious reputation and of suspicious behavior or character who merely browse said forums, from time-to-time.

Maybe it would just be best to say "Gay Chad", aka "Happy Chad" and leave it at that...maybe that's what Chad was trying to tell us all along, and the infraction was really just a mere confusion of "definition-isms".

Re: Marketplace Approval

As a result of reading this thread, I PMed Chad over some questionable activities in his poker history that might make any Mplace Approval application unlikely to be passed.

He was civil and upfront in explaining them to me.
very unclownlike

CMAR, who could be a Mplace mod anytime he wanted, gave him good advice and Chad seems to have taken it.

The posts calling for his ban make no sense and the new troll accounts should be the ones banned imo.
