kev, why do you suppose that people don't take you seriously ? Is it truly puzzling to you, or do you just not care ?

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

Just like to clarify that my previous post, while bashing you, because you need bashing, was essentially a positive post for you because I took my time to highlight, clearly and concisely, why and how people percieve you badly and explain how you can change to be thought of as normal. If you just want to go "waaaah I can't hear you" that is your prerogative and tbf is 100% what i expected from you because it's your default and only reaction.

Kev, I'm a mod, part of my job is judging people. Just thought I'd let you in on that little secret. Please point out any personal attack in my post above that was not based on the evidence of hundreds of your posts please. You'll find out that there is none. As I say the only two reasonable conclusions from your posting is that you are functionally disabled or incredibly dumb. If you can find another possibility please share it with the forum. If you are indeed functionally disabled, as seems quite likely, then we as mods should do something to prevent you from being involved in so much ridicule, since this is essentially picking on a stationary target. And that's what ractar's for.

So you're basically saying that everything I said was 100% wrong? Because when people quote it and say "this is 100% the way I feel about KevMode too" this means that lots of people think this of you the same as me. Or, what it means on Planet KevMode is "I'm right and everyone else is wrong." So even if you don't agree with what I said you can now see that many people think it and that if many people think it then change is needed to stop this happening, and if you don't change then you want this response to your posts to continue. Following this logic train? Choo choo.

I mean, I explained 100% accurately why this thread can't be serious. It can't be serious because you made it and you're not serious. You're a simulacra of a normal poster, you can't try and use the same standards as other 2+2 users because no-one holds you to these standards. If you were to say "where's the evidence for D.S.'s accusation?" I would say "read this thread, point proved 100%"

So, just to clarify this for you: LOTS OF PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE JUST A WALKING JOKE

Seriously, people were legit disapointed and surprised to find out you're not a troll. People (and I mean a pretty large % of the people who read your posts) thought you had to be a long term troll. Again, try and percieve of how your posts must be taken for so many people to think you're just a gimmick account, someone who isn't a genuine poster. It clearly means you, like the UB superuser, are a point far off the center of the graph.

Now your reaction to it is to go "nah nah nah nah you called me a poo poo head I'm putting my fingers in my ears and not listening to you" which in the eyes of most people further solidifies you in the "never pays any attention to other people" camp and means you get a tick in the 'idiot' box.

If you want to be taken seriously as a poster on 2+2 then here's your list of options:

1. Change your style of posting.

That's it. Post as you currently do and you will be constantly ridiculed for being an idiot for the basic reason that you come across as idiot in your posts.

I can't sugar coat that for you. You genuinely come across to pretty much everyone as low in intelligence, unable to understand what other people say and existing in a bubble where the world resolves around KevMode. It's not just an insult, it's the truth. Sorry.

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

It's truly shocking. Everyone has a bunch of insecurities and issues and problems and incorrect ways of thinking....except kevmode.

Maybe we should make him a prophet or a king or something.

SHOW US THE WAY, MIGHTY KEVMODE! ONLY YOUR POV IS VALID!

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

Threads in ATF are suppose to be serious but when a poster creates a thread in ATF they are mocked and nothing is done to fix the OP issue or problem. Every single thread I have read on ATF has gone this way and that's the bottom line. Mods try to protect each other in any thread on ATF no matter if the mod is right or wrong in the particular thread. The only thing that happens in ATF is trolling and posters who disagree with the OP no matter what the thread title. Most likely I wont be posting any more new threads in ATF because there is no point in doing so. When posting a thread in ATF the OP is always going to be attacked and flamed and is not going to get his or her way. I suggested ideas and flaws I have seen on 2+2 only to be confronted by jerk mods who stalk me and mock me.

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

Try reading the ban signature threads. There's a lot of actual discussion and opinions and stuff is probably going to happen re: signatures.

The problem is you are a the biggest idiot/troll on this site, so stop telling everyone to take you seriously. If you want to be taken seriously, stop being an idiot/troll.

You judge everyone else and every time someone says something you don't like they have issues or are being unprofessional or you say something absolutely ****ing moronic like "I wasn't talking to you", as if you aren't posting on a goddamn public forum where everyone has the right to respond.

Just STFU, kevmode. Why are you even here? You are the one of the worst posters on the site and the only reason anyone likes you at all is that they like to point and laugh at you.

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

^^^ Very professional of you cursing at me and calling me names as usual. You are def one of the rudest mods on the site. No one asked you for your opinion so why are you here? You got off topic in this thread about the Golden Rule sticky in the 1st place. I have read the sig thread and nothing is going to be done about sigs and everyone knows this. I wold like you come up with a few examples of when a thread that was started in ATF changed or improved 2+2.

Last edited by kevmode; 04-26-2012 at 10:06 AM. Reason: I don't believe I have ever cursed at you in any thread yet you curse at me.

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

A musicians thread got started because of threads in ATF.

Mortar and Brick got started because of threads in ATF.

A forum for wrestling got started because of a thread in ATF.

Seizure inducing avatars were banned because of a thread of ATF.

And those are just four I can recall off the top of my head. I'm sure there are other examples from before my time, and before I realized what a comedy gold mine ATF was.

So, again, you block out anything that doesn't conform with your view of reality, because that's what you do, and that's why everyone thinks you are a troll/idiot.

And frankly, when a poster as bad as you doesn't like me, I take that as a compliment. So thanks.

And you've insulted me plenty, but I recognize that your extremely warped world view doesn't allow you to recognize that, so whatever. Just keep living in that cozy kevmode bubble and we'll all keep mocking you for being a gigantic tool.

Edit: And cursing is allowed, as long as I don't evade the profanity filter. Feel free.

You are missing out, bro. I'd put his current post count at 219 real posts and 42,000 hilarious puns.

Yes, a lot of it is pointless and stupid, but there's a lot of awesome stuff in there too.
I don't really think any of the mods want to make NVG a more serious place. I don't think I've ever seen a post deleted in NVG because it wasn't serious, and I'd be really confused if I did see that. (FYI, mods can see all deleted posts.)

I think all of us want to make NVG more readable, but I also think that all of us (at least the dedicated NVG mods) are mostly inclined to just let NVG be NVG.

NVG is actually modded extremely lightly. I mean.. if you think we're censoring stuff heavily.. read a thread and see all the crap that we're not deleting . For example, none of the posts quoted in the sticky were actually deleted. We still certainly delete some stuff that shouldn't be deleted, and I understand that that really upsets people, but we're human and that's simply unavoidable as a result. There's no question that we do more good than harm, and most of the advice we get from the peanut gallery about being less harsh just seems really weird to us because we're not at all harsh.

For all of the things that the world needs, "more rubbish posts in NVG" should be pretty low on the priority ranking.

Re: Golden Rule Sticky in NVG too strict

Wasn't going to bump this thread until it's settled, but I have some other charity-related bets pending and since $40 ain't much, I'll just lump it in with that when I've got that figured out rather than worry about researching charities for $40.

Regardless, I ain't forgotten.
