He managed to make 2 million posts on 2p2. Unless he's changed recently, if he were really such a problem he needs to be perma'd, that would have happened at some point within his first 70,000 posts or so. If Rapini doesn't like him, then exile him from B&M.

I think partly what bugs me is this idea that somehow mets' existence has to be justified. There's an assload of posters on 2+2 who are totally useless. It's a forum. Mets has been around for ever, he's sort of part of the furniture. I've been insanely frustrated with him at times in the past, so I get how he can be a pain to mod, but he's also contributed a lot and is a fun and good guy. I would miss him.

On the other hand, as far as I can tell rapini is a self-important prick who has no idea how to actually mod in a sane way without making everything about his own delusions of grandeur. So much so they had to make a new forum just to allow people not to have to put up with his bull****. The ban is ridiculous to begin with

How is this even up for debate? Mets is a 2p2 icon. His contributions in POG are without question a positive for this forum. The obvious solution, as has been said, is an exile from B&M, coupled with a short time off for being an idiot and going back in there.

I have no idea what possessed him to return to where he obviously isn't welcome, but is being a moron really worthy of a permanent ban? If we perma everyone who's a moron this place is going to get pretty damn lonely for you few who are left!

I like him, I think he is a net positive to the site.

I do believe that the site should have rules and rules that are enforced. So, despite my affection for him, some sort of exile, restriction on where he posts or a type of contract should exist: to attempt to encourage him to avoid breaking the rules in future.




I trust in the red mods to come to a reasoned and reasonable resolution.

if there are no sklansky noodz involved (my first thought), sources tell me it's more work to get rid of a mod + replace him/vet that new mod than it is to just ignore dozens of ATF threads and years' worth of incompetent, me-first modding.

Although Mets isn't perfect, this forum needs more people like Mets and not less. He built community and relationships. He made 2+2 something more than an internet forum. He made it into a group of friends.

Have you ever seen the list of 2+2er's that Mets has met in real life? It's a pretty lengthy list.

2+2 is NOT a better place with Mets not a part of it.
