Please don't delete The Studio! I'm about to start posting in it a lot more cause I start classes Monday! Applied Guitar, Guitar Ensemble, Piano, Drumming, and Choir!

Why change at all? The layout makes sense, only change I would make is to put Internet Poker and its subforums above General Gambling. I don't see the point in making the forums easier to find for new readers, if you at the same time, which is unavoidable, makes them harder to find for old readers.

Used to post mostly at Poker School Online, PokerStars' learning site - guess that was back when they used to have a lot of training classes and promos for posting though? They don't have nearly as much traffic as 2+2 - guess because the site is for beginners, and because Stars has several different sites in different languages ... although it seems like they used to have a decent amount?


Anyways a couple of years ago, someone in head office wanted to try making the PSO site more like 2+2, with lots of different categories - guess the idea was that they were hoping to inspire people to start discussions on a wider variety of topics? The current set up appears to have been streamlined back down again - but it basically looked like this ...

Guess with all the categories of 2+2, without the traffic of 2+2, the bigger problem for the smaller site seemed to be that everybody started to have problems finding new posts? So PSO added a 'Last posts' button, and pressing on it would bring up a list of all the most recent posts, from all the different sub-forums of the site ...

Not sure if something like that would work at 2+2, with there being so much more traffic? Or maybe people wouldn't find it very helpful, if it brings up a lot of posts that aren't related to poker?

Guess one plus of having a button that shows posts from all over the site, is that it would maybe show discussions that people may have never noticed before, if they've never clicked on that section of the forum?

It's the best way to catch spammers in low-traffic forums.

Spammers are the biggest problem for me as a cell phone user w/ tapatalk because it still shows up in feed after getting nuked.

Yet another reason to lol tapatalk.

There are problems with tapatalk, but it's still better than reading it on a phone with a standard browser.

Kind of fun that have been posting here for over 6 years, and am still discovering new things about this forum - that helps keep things fresh and exciting

Used to use that 'New posts' button at PSO all the time ... 'New posts', refresh, refresh ...

Just gave the one on 2+2 a try, and the search returned a whole variety of interesting posts besides poker - am seeing stuff about investing, beer, golf, political rallies, as well as that big boxing (?) match that's supposed to be coming up next week?

Just tried pressing the 'New posts' button again - guess this post took me so long to write, the search returned a whole new set of topics!

That's neat if the button can help clear up spam - it sounds like it's a recurring problem in some of the forums? Will definitely be using the button as well, as a way to see all the fresh new posts, in all the various forums here on 2+2

I think after 7 months we can stop with the hacking announcement from January that's atop every forum.

Don't see it either, logged in or not.

If nobody said anything, I was kind of hoping that it would make it to next January.

please dont nuke "The Studio" altogether. make it a subforum or something but there is definitely a place for it.

Going to be taking the few suggestions we got here and see if it makes sense to incorporate any - hoping to move forward in the next few weeks, so now's the time to get any more input in.

If you nuke Student Life plz keep the Law School thread somewhere because it is a living history for many of us.

Also I think EDF and The Lounge are polar opposites and would be poor merge candidates.
