Would it hurt to add these to the reply box?

Also, oh my cow is this site running like molasses today. Taking me about nine seconds to get from one forum to another.

Please clear your browser cache. I believe that should fix the problem you are seeing.

There's now an issue when searching for posts within a specific thread; it occurs after you enter the search keyword and try to click on the link to direct you to the specific post. Instead of directing you to the post you clicked on, it will bring you to the last page of the thread.

I just wanted to report that on the old 2+2 app, everything is not working just the way it always doesn't work, so I don't need to change anything to continue to enjoy my stable and predictable limited functionality.

In other words, this is by far the best upgrade ever! Thanks!

i've noticed a small change

it has to do with the link to the original post that is generated when someone uses 'quote', the blue arrow

usually, if the original post was on the same page as the quote, clicking the link it would jump up the page instantly

now, it reloads the entire page

Is this new on safari/iOS?

Doesn't happen on every thread, but sometimes a huge blank space pops up at the bottom of a page (ex. post 20 is last on that page). Played around with that thread here and noticed that if I follow a link to the last post of the page, I see the site normally for a few seconds, then that giant empty space sort of pops into existence and pushes the quick reply box down.

Okay, just had it happen between two posts on the same page

^ So do I (in Chrome but not in Firefox). Note also the small grey 'Close' button on the right that appears only in Chrome, has no visible effect when clicked.

In Opera, it's even more interesting: similar black spaces between some posts while the page is loading but disappear when the page loads fully.

This has nothing to do with ad blockers - I turned one on and off and this has had no effect - black spaces and the 'Close' button appear in Chrome in both modes.

When I load a new thread the screen resizes itself several times before returning back to normal.

Do the threads in question have embedded Tweets?

It has turned out that I had more than one blocker turned on. After disabling all 'suspicious' Chrome extensions, I started seeing banners and the black spaces between posts disappeared.

Also, I noticed that, with a blocker on, there are exactly 5 black spaces, separated by 2-4 posts each, on every forum page long enough.

Furthermore, inspection of the code (with the right click in Chrome) reveals that these black spaces are supposed to be banners.

Why no ads are shown in these spaces when I turn all the blockers off is a mystery. Perhaps these ad spaces aren't sold out yet and the 2+2 admins decided to put 'empty banners' for the time being in these 5 slots where real banners were initially supposed to appear, and blockers draw black rectangles there, of the size that real banners were supposed to have.

I have not noticed or looked for any embedded tweets, but it seems to happen in every thread for me, it happens in this thread for instance, even replying to this quote it happened with the reply box. It happens occasionally just when picking a different sub-forum to view threads as well.

The re-sizing and re-focusing seems to happen for 3-5 seconds, so while it is a minor annoyance it is not actually preventing me from doing anything.
