It seems like URL's are not being rendered as regular URL's, but are instead embedded in a redirect.
That's a confusing explanation, so here's an example. In
this post, goofy's link goes to this URL:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2016%2F07 %2F08%2Fworld%2Feurope%2Fdenmark-citizenship-test.html
which, when you click on it, eventually resolves to just:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/08/world/europe/denmark-citizenship-test.html
2+2 has previously always just shown the latter form (the "nytimes.com") version, which I greatly prefer to the new version (the "http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com") version. The older way was MUCH more human-friendly.
Is that something that's easy to change back?
