With a link.

Obviously I did not click it.

Can someone confirm this is not a 2p2 generated email, or if it is--Why?

Well we found out two things.

1. Mat Skalansky's password is Mat Sklansky.

2. His account is hacked.

People should also be alert to the possibility of hacked (that is, seemingly reputable) accounts posting links to spoof/phishing sites.

Why is it especially important? Was your security compromised?

Yea, I think it is reasonable to give the Why, rather than just it came from you. I'm not clicking the link; tell me why the password needs to be changed and I will.

Were the servers hacked and PW stolen?

If your account gets taken over it is due to using a simple password. When said accounts get compromised and banned, you will not get the account back and will have to start a new one.

Have you been on or near 2p2, the internet, and/or online poker for any period of time in the last 7 years?

We have been trained over and over again not to click random sketchy links, to take basic measures to secure our computers and stuff, and to let the community know if something weird seems to be going on.

It's not "especially important" but it is probably worth taking 12 seconds to make a post about it.

Whereas my reply to you--not so worth it.

Even if I happened to be a 10 year member in good standing? or a well known...

nvm, you don't want to go there.

I got the same e-mail a few minutes ago. Like other posters I would prefer to know why we received the e-mail.
