Editing your own threads

Hi there

Is it not possible to edit your own threads? I was hoping to make some changes to some of my posts but can't seem to edit?

OK, I notice I can edit this thread - I assume it has something to do with how long the post has been up.

Can mods edit a thread for you if you ask?

Re: Editing your own threads

You have 30 minutes to edit a post. After that, a mod could if you really had a reason to.

But understand that the mods are volunteers and not your bitches, so don't expect them to rush right out fix a typo or something.

If it's a marketplace forum, please use the "report post" button instead.

Depends on the forum. I'd do it, but some mods don't want to bother.

Re: Editing your own threads

Do I have to PM the mod of the forum or can I ask anyone to do it? Would you be able to do it for me venice?

Re: Editing your own threads

You've been given a few different answers; if it's still not clear to you, perhaps it would be easiest to just tell us what you need, or at least what forum it's in. And no, green mods cannot edit posts in forums for which they aren't listed as mods.

Re: Editing your own threads

Ahhh ok thanks...

Basically my pg+c thread is here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...-year-1214633/

I am hoping to take out the following section:

"Background:

I have been an online fish for far too long, and lost far too much money. I am making this challenge to help me stay on track. I would say since I started losing online I have probably lost ~$20k. (I have no record of this as I've had accounts at a lot of different sites, none of which I have kept a database for, until now) But I kept coming back as I loved the game so much and although"

So there would be no "Background" section but just the following line?

"I do get the chance to play in brick and mortar, that's usually only over weekends, and I need my poker fix throughout the week."

Basically I want to post the link to my facebook so I can let other friends follow my progress but without informing them of the detail of how much I've lost/etc.

Is this OK?
