@Mat and Chuck - if it helps motivate you, from May next year Europe's General Data Protection Regulation will come into force. This law covers anyone processing the personal data of European citizens. That includes 2+2. Regulatory fines are available against people not taking the right steps to protect that data, and are capped at the greater of €20M or 4% of global worldwide turnover.
Makes that TLS certificate look cheap, doesn't it?
