I want to update my OP in a software thread without bumping it unnecessarily and I swear there's no button for that.

Edit: Yet on this post I have a button. Is the button only available for a short time or is there no edting in the software forum?

Mods have the ability to edit. You can report your OP and ask a mod to edit in certain information, as long as it's not frequent.

Editing/deleting a post is time-limited. About 15 minutes or so.

You can PM a forum moderator or Report a post after that time, giving your reasons for the requested edit/deletion or for the lock of a thread. Threads might not be deleted if others have spent their time and effort making their own posts in it, or if the forum moderator decides the thread should remain.
