Bullying a poster on 2+2?

I have noticed that often when "Mark275" posts someone else posts soon afterwards with some kind of snide remark. Some recent examples are below. Its not the most deeply offensive stuff but its relentless nature makes it more serious than if it were confined to one thread for example.

I don't know Mark or much of the history. I gather he is a kid who once (i) pretended to be female (presumably called Ashley?) on the internet to get staking and (ii) bad mouthed some people on poker sites. Not nice but hardly at the Hamilton/Bitar type level that might warrant abuse everytime he shows up.

I wonder if the mods are aware this is happening and understand how it can amount to bullying with potentially serious consequences? Should this be stamped out at this stage with a few warnings/deletions etc?

Just to reiterate, I don't know Mark. I just speak as a forum user who has noticed this pattern and is mildly concerned. It just feels like a bunch of kids ganging up on the unpopular guy in the playground.

Frankly, I think one of the best and worst things about this site is the fact that it is, in many ways, self-policing.

If you get a reputation as a scammer, or an idiot, or a scumbag, or whatever, you will get piled on.

The negative side of this, of course, is that if the masses make up their minds about you and that judgement is incorrect, it can spiral out of control really quickly.

In this particular case, I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a guy with his history (lying, huge smack/trash talking, posting in a trolling manner) getting some of his own **** thrown back at him. For example, he posted pics of himself, then complained when others posted them, too.

He's shown absolutely no real evidence of wanting to clean up his act, so he gets what he gets, IMO.

However, there is a line, and nobody should be threatened with bodily harm, or told to kill themselves, or anything truly vile/reprehensible.

I mean, as always, if you think a post crosses the line, report it and a mod will take a look.

Broadly, though, I think the fact that 2p2 tends to police itself is a positive. Somewhat brutal or blunt, but positive. And obviously there are plenty of forums where mild to moderate personal attacks are allowed.

I think most mods take care of Mark when a line has been crossed. At least the ones that have had dealings with him. I at one time advised him to just stop posting on his account and open a new one to which he replied no.

So kevmoth and this other kevmode were accounts created just to troll me. This is the kind of bullying I was speaking of. I don't deserve any of this kind of treatment or hatred. People who hate their lives and are insecure like to take jabs at others. This is a sad World we live in today. People have to make fun of others to feel like they are important and exist in our society. It truly amazes me the way people act on this forum.
