If it were up to me I would ban PokerTravel and CreamOfTheCrop from Trooper threads/2+2 as they are just trolls who know nothing.

That would be inaccurate some of the advice I have offered is the best in the thread. Stop projecting on me please it's annoying that a whole mob of you are doing this.

I already said he's totally free to start a new thread in House of Blogs. The thread was basically just a blog thread for him anyway, not a trip report and it had no place in LVL. If I go to the mod forum they will agree 100%.

So if you want to do anything to get the thread started up again, get the trooper to post a new thread where it belongs.

I disagree that the thread has no place in LVL. The thread was primarily a discussion of TheTrooper, Las Vegas, and poker in Vegas. It makes way more sense to have the thread in LVL than in a section called House of Blogs that I have never heard of or can even find on the side menu.

If House of Blogs gives TheTrooper some moderating capability in his own thread and/or the amount of work that was needed to moderate the thread in LVL was simply too high then of course those are considerations as well.

Lover959 deletes his posts half the time so I can't respond to them but basically the point of this is that yes, he is popular but the thread is unlike anything else in LVL because it's a blog thread and we don't allow blog threads. It's really that simple. I let it go because it was a big thread and got a lot of attention but my email has been blowing up recently with a bunch of reports for it relative to the number I was getting for the forum overall and all of them by posters who seemed to only post in that forum. It was constantly off topic and even the stuff 'related' to it was basically just trolling the **** out of the trooper.

I even PMed Trooper and let him know he was free to start a new thread in House of Blogs where it belongs.

There are several active blog threads in LVL (cushlash, norcaljew, wheatrich from just glancing at it), plus countless trip report threads...

That works for me; but then again, I'm not one of the people who submitted any reports to Gobbo. Frankly, unless he deleted posts that I didn't have a chance to read, I never saw anything that merited reporting to a mod. And I'm one of Trooper's staunchest supporters on the thread and one who not only responded to the growing number of negative posts, but one who wishes that their authors would get a life and quit trolling The Trooper. Even so, their posts, although distracting, were not over the line. I'd be fine with Gobbo reopening the thread and ignoring any complaints.

I'm a bit puzzled as to why the mods have been so lenient with CreamofTheCrop, especially after he pretty much mocked one of them and was almost daring him to shut down the thread. He is still calling that mod a troll when that mod is obviously not a troll (How is that not crossing the line?). Ban the worst offenders, delete some of the obvious troll posts and it wouldn't fix every problem but I'm sure it would help a lot. The trolls were so active because they were able to get away with so much.

Moving/locking the thread was freaky and very weird.

Maybe people should stop reporting posts lol. Just put the posters on ignore if you think they are trolls and idiots.

Did gobbo do any modding in that thread ie deleting troll posts infracting people that trolled? I think gobo ignoring the reports is fine unless someone is using racial slurs or something that eggregious. I rarely saw anything that out of line just some dumb trolls that were easy to ignore. Seemed like it was a lot of people who had alt names tarding it up.

I saw every vlog and read the comments and pretty much dismissed the troll posts. It was a really popular thread that depicted what it was like to be a grinder and dealer in vegas. It was at times an every day trip report by someone living the dream. Best thread I have seen in 6 plus years on this forum and that is no troll. Trooper put a lot of love into that thread , such a shame for all that hard work to be so trivially tossed away. Is troop even continuing in house of blogs? I wouldn't bother if I was him.

I didn't mock the mod i made a point to show u a troll post when one was made, him saying he will nuke thread is a troll. So please stop commenting on things you dont even understand at a basic level, stick to the poker advice some of the stuff you said was great and knowledgeable.
