Thread has value in LVL.

Especially as a tale to those younger folk who are thinking of taking up the same task.

I'm still in LVL too. I will monitor the thread but will keep things loose.

I concur with Gobbo. The number of post reports in that thread is very high. A high percentage of them don't fall into a category worthy of any action. It has a high level of trolls but little of it is against the rules.

FWIW OP has made dozens of posts in that LVL thread and deletes them quickly. It is odd.

For the record, I have never reported a post. I didnt even know I could. Maybe I should start!

Although I am not a poker player, I became a fan of TheTrooper97's vlog, which led me to this forum, which led me to begin learning about poker and enjoying these boards - don't let the one reason I joined here become nullified

Every troll I've ever seen vehemently denies being a troll, claims to be the voice of reason and accuses others of being troll. Nobody ever raises their hand and admits to being a disruptive troll.

No, he is a mod that was warning us that if we didn't stay on topic he would close the thread. And you immediately attacked him and disrupted the thread which led to it being closed. A better idea would have been to listen to the mod and only post about Trooper and his videos so the thread would be improved, and he would decide not to close it.

And accusing such a lenient mod of writing a troll post is lol.

If people are reporting posts that aren't a problem ban them for a weekend for abusing the post report button. Easy Peazy.

Actually, Trooper did an excellent professional review of a restaurant on the strip in last vlog. That and the great sites and sounds he captures of Las Vegas, definitely makes it worthy of LVL forum. Have you seen some of the other threads on that forum?

The only reason I want to take another trip to Vegas is because of his videos.

His excellent review really doesn't have any bearing on where the thread belongs. And the "worthiness" of the thread isn't especially relevant either - HoB isn't a forum for threads that aren't worthy of other forums. But yes, I know the line is a little blurred in LVL where there are a lot of trip reports and reviews of LV establishments; one could argue that someone's thread full of those is related and belongs there.

I very much doubt that when House of Blogs was created, anyone was concerned about the blog/vlog distinction. If someone wants to create a thread where they are diarizing, logging, blogging, vlogging, I'd expect HoB to be the default location. Not sure where you're going with vlog = LVL, unless it's some joke i'm not getting (highly possible).

Really, it wouldn't have been that difficult for people to follow him in a different forum - maybe some of you would have discovered other interesting threads.

All that said, if everyone's happy with the current arrangement, I'm not looking to change it. Just saw SA post something I had been thinking since I first saw this thread, so I decided to express my feelings on it - then discovered he wasn't saying what I thought he was saying.

So the Trooper thread has been around since November 2014 and has over 100 billion views or something like that.

It has bordered on greatness and at times become absolutely terrible (not due to Trooper) as well but either way it is epic and has become a major fixture in LVL so I'm glad it is open again and staying where it is.

I gotta admit, almost 8,500 posts and over 2 million views is pretty impressive.

FWIW Trooper didn't start the thread about him. It was somebody that stumbled upon his videos on YT and thought they would be a good topic of discussion. He joined it later on and I don't think it is really a blog thread as much as it is a discussion about his work by many.

He has never been a problem in the thread and handles the negativity and criticism well. I think he is doing a great job with it.

Also, the thread seems to be on track since it reopened. Hopefully it stays that way.

Right and an an example of some of the cool stuff in this thread is that the OP is from Europe and, later, long after the first post, on a trip he made to Vegas, he met with Trooper and was featured in one of the videos.

I have been following Trooper back in the day when he was playing in Biloxi with Harry. I also follow him on YouTube. I don't understand why he only has 5,000 subscribers. You would think that with all the veiws on this forum he would have more.

Is there anyway to read this thread still?

Please unban the OP ... He is very sorry and wants to help gambling addicts on his blog thread. He only posted a bunch of crazy posts on first Vegas vlog thread because thread was causing undo emotional trauma for the player from all the internet bullies. The intention was to get thread closed which was done anyway. He felt guilty because he got thread originally reopened

Trooper is the origantor of the Poker Vlog... Like KFC ...


Bring back the old thread ....with the Kings name on it
