hate that i am doing this, but this is a relevant thread.

~2 years ago I read a thread about someone from this site who spent time travelling through Africa/that part of the world. It was one of the best stories I have read and certainly one of the best on this site.

It was several parts. I remember him living as a rafting guide as well as working for/owning a bar in Africa/that part of the world. There was also a friend of his who killed himself after testing negative for an STD. Hoping these highlights will spark someone's memory.

I also believe his name was in Green.

Spent some time with the search function but didn't find desired results.

Anybody have a clue what I'm talking about?
