This has now happened to me for the second time:

I will log in as I am about to post

I compose the post.

If the post is longer/requires some thought then when I press to post it when completed, I am bounced to the log in screen again and all traces of the composition are lost (even when hitting back on the browser).

Is this a new feature to discourage people from posting anything more than a few sentences?

(and no, it wasn't a wall of text, I just spent about 5 minutes composing and editing so that the play of a live hand read well)

Two suggestions.

1) Compose offline using a word processing program.
2) Type faster.

Anytime I type out a long post I copy it to clipboard before hitting send in case something goes wrong.

Another version is when you are composing the post, then search for something and forget to do it in a different window. All gone.
