Any word on view first unread? Forum not even useable without it.

I'm using the Forum all the time without bells and whistles.

It works fine on my computer and Tapatalk.

Confirmed working in Chrome and Safari.

It doesn't work fine on my computer with Chrome

I could be wrong, but I think the first unread post issue happens when there is stuff still loading from a third party (embedded youtubes and tweets, maybe ads, formerly really large images but maybe not anymore now that 2p2 caches the images and serves them) after the forum software loads the 2p2 content and goes to the first unread post. When the third Party stuff continues to load after that point, it messes with where you are on the page. If you are having this issue from Safari on your phone and most people aren't having it, I think the problem is on your end and there's nothing 2p2 can do.

Have you tried using the mobi skin to see it that makes a difference? If you do try this, be aware it changes a bunch of your Control Panel Options which you need to change back manually if you change back to a non-mobi skin).

Generally using last post and taking it from there.

I mean it's obv some update, ad software(w/e). Not a new phone or software update or anything else on my part. Had a brief problem when tweets were added with first unread, but that was a while back and seemed to have been fixed. This has been going on for ~2 months and is something different.

Even if something is different, it's pretty unlikely anyone is going to troubleshoot why you're having a problem that most people aren't, when you are accessing the forums through a method most people don't use, and that 2p2 doesn't support (at least I think 2p2 stopped worrying about mobile access via a browser once the app came out).

Upon further review, it's something to do with ads. They're not even loading. The pages are taking extra long to load then finish out without ads loading. Pretty sure they use adsense/adchoices from google, which works on other sites, unless that's what changed.

Thanks. Apparently didn't see it because it's only before the bolded threads. And I don't leave anything bolded in ATF!! Have a faint memory I checked the function out years ago, didn't apparently addict me, no ahaa. Maybe I'll give it (another) try after this.

It could be I'm used to forums with relatively low traffic, so this hasn't been a major issue. This could come in handy in for example Politics... Looks at least the older tablet I'm using now isn't sensitive enough for getting what I'm trying to push though. Have already got used to using last page, that's not too much for my device.

I couldn't imagine using this forum without that button. I hope you aren't as nonchalant about other important buttons.
