ok this is all really good news if it really is all good. I mean one thing is Ive kind of been eating healthier and staying on track more and realized how much i really really need to not drink(i still do), not gamble , and not stuff like that.
And i also realized a certain poster was NOT being nice to me who I thought was being nice to me. I dont have anything against anyone here really and didnt want it to be a big deal.

I know a guy who works a second job at KMart while going through a bankruptcy. He sometimes has random stories about shoplifters and some of their audacious attempts.

My guess would be that you heavily overestimate your skills in this area, at least online. That's not to say you're not good at it, but simply that it's hard, if not impossible, for anyone to be highly accurate in determining intent and tone by written word alone. Especially when you consider how poor some people are at conveying tone when writing.

There's a good example of what I'm talking about.

And there are also lots of times when people say things that aren't especially nice, but they are really just trying to be funny and not mean.

Is ATF now the politics forum for those who refuse to go to the politics forum? I may start posting here.

ATF is the politics forum for people who can't get enough arguing in the other two forums so they come here for extra.

First off, yes I do consider myself a perceptive person.

Having said that.
I'm beginning to understand some things now and would def agree I'm not that great at understanding people online especially in accordance with how I sometimes view myself. I overestimate my abilities at a lot of things which is really unfortunate. and so I say to you thank you Bobo Fett.

Also agree with last part, I say things jokingly too and sometimes both in real life and online if I'm not that knowledgeable about something I will make a reccomendation in a joking manner ie "what if _________________ hahahaha"

Here's a thought: if you don't like the contents of a thread, stop clicking on that thread. Embrace the idea that maybe, just maybe, literally every thread on this forum doesn't have to be catered to your individual preferences.

I don't give a crap about game of thrones, so I do well by not clicking on threads devoted to game of thrones. I don't intentionally click on those threads and then whine endlessly about them existing. Go figure.

I gotta question here. Does the view count include robot views, like google's search engine indexing spyders?

The reason I ask is this: I have my dog blog, Flower, Cinnamon Stick, and Sabo. TYVM @2+2 for hosting me !!!1! I started the blog the day I rescued Sabo (2014-2-25, pix below). Now, 1221 days later I have 69024 views. Prolly ~5k of those views are me composing new posts. That makes an average of ~50/day non-me views.



By contrast, imgur.com reports 636 image views (I assume non-cached) of the above pix, which is inline as part of post #10 of my blog. That's an average of ~0.5/day.

This is not how forums work. If you post about poker in BBV4L it gets deleted because BBV4L is not a poker forum. If you post about craps in NVG it gets deleted because NVG is not a general gambling forum. If you post about sports in OOT it gets deleted because OOT is not a sports forum.

And if someone started a GoT thread in Politics, it would get deleted, because Politics is not a TV forum. NVG, OOT, ATF etc are not politics forums so they should not have politics threads, especially since there are already two forums devoted to politics here.

It would one thing if the ATF politics threads were designed for ATF regs to discuss politics amongst themselves, like in SE and POG; but the ATF politics threads are just an excuse for Politics forum regs to argue about the same things they argue about in the two forums specifically devoted to politics.

That's a good point, but really though, are you not excited for season 7? I myself can't wait. I hope Danny finally makes it to Kings Landing.

That's good to hear. I get very paranoid about things sometimes and badly misinterpreted your pm. I have a story to write about that but I genuinely do not wish to start a conflict with anyone and cannot think of a prudent and polite way to say it right now.
