Is there any way to get a post deleted?

I'm sick of always having the rigged thread at the top when I look at participated threads.

You can report a post to have it deleted, but such a request isn't always granted.

It seems like a much simpler way to go about this would be to unsubscribe from the thread.

I think you can do this through My 2+2 (near top left of every page)/Subscribed Threads, but I'm not positive as I'm not subscribed to any.

I unsubscribed from all threads and it made no difference.

I also had reported the post for deletion some time ago but it didn't happen.

The worst thing about it is I didn't even post in the rigged thread. I just responded to some rigtard in a different thread and the rigtard's post and mine were moved.

Well, the unsubscribe thing makes no sense to me, but I won't try to offer any advice there as I have no first-hand knowledge of it.

I see your post was edited a long time ago; perhaps your report was misunderstood, or missed altogether.

Regardless, I found the post and deleted it - it was a pretty innocuous post, and no one deserves to be subjected to the silliness of that thread against their will.

Actually, I can think of a couple people who might deserve it, but you're not one of them.

To unsubscribe from a thread, go to the thread and click the 'Thread tools' menu in the thread header.

Do I need to file a petition to expunge my expired infraction from my profile page or am I going to have to feel dirty for the forseeable future?

I have learned my lesson and would appreciate some compasion/understanding in this instance.

Thank you in advance

I think you can dkgoblock that entire infractions section if you're of a mind to. I won't pretend to know exactly how.

is there any way to ignore a poster so their name doestn't show up at all? or, even better, they dont show up when quoted either?

You have to take users OFF your 2+2 ignore list for it to work.

It removes their posts and the "This message is hidden because X is on your ignore list." phrase.

But they still show in the forum list if they start a thread and they also show if they're quoted in a reply.

I don't think so. I have a few posters on "ignore," but if they post in a forum I moderate, I can click on "read post" if I feel a need to read what they have written.

On another note, what is a "motel tan"?

It's from a great country song, Buzz. Guitar Town by Steve Earle. Presumably, he's touring and is pale from playing in honky-tonks and staying in motels.
