At 5AM my favorite place to eat opens up. Its just a bagel shop/deli, but the food is excellent. So at 4:55AM I am going to leave. I am thinking of getting either:

Option #1: Sausage/egg/cheese on everything bagel and a bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagel

Option #2: Two tuna fish, lettuce, and munster cheese on everything bagels

Option #3: Reuben

Or maybe I could just get one tuna fish sandwich and then something else to compliment it. Hmmmmm.....

well, it's 10:45 here and i just cracked open a beer (miller high life light) because i was planning on going to my brother's baseball game at 11. sadly, it has moved back to 4pm, so if i continue drinking till then, i will pass out well before then, but i will be here on the forums.

Honest question and I really really hope that you answer truthfully:

If I clearly mark a thread "onslaught" in the title, and some people are enjoying the thread and replying, then why does it bother you that it exists?

This is one thing that I've never really understood about this forum: It seems as if the mods routines lock threads not because they are breaking any rules but simply because they dislike them. And it seems as if people get all bent out of shape about certain OPs not because they insult anyonr or are rude, but just because they don't like them.

Here let me go look for another example......

To summarize that thread for you:

-OP has a clogged toilet and doesn't know how to get it fixed

-its unintentionally pretty funny since a "plunger" is the obvious answer and it seems as if OP didn't even think about that

-people start offering other crazy ideas to unclog a toilet

-OP chimes back in with this gem: "Yeah, it's been like this for a couple of days. It works ok. I crap and piss in the bathtub and throw the paper tissues in garbage bags."

-NT! comes along and locks the thread and says "wtf is up with all these terrible threads."



Now thats an exact example of what I'm talking about! The thread was breaking no rules whatsoever, it was funny to some people, and it was getting a decent number of replies. Is space so valuable on these forums that we have to lock every little thread we don't think is good even if other people seem to like it???

Maybe I'm spoiled since I've been at FBGs for so long and their forums are the best moderated forums I've ever been to. But honestly...if a thread isn't any good and nobody likes it, then it will naturally fall back down because nobody will reply...simple as that! And do some of you guys not realize the irony of the fact that you're bumping a thread when you complain about OP in it?

I just don't understand why things like this are locked, but then people(mods sometimes too) can totally unprovoked personally insult someone(happens a lot in sporting events too) and they don't get a warning or their posts deleted. It would seem to me like those posts are the ones mods should be looking for.

I'm not saying its your fault at all, but this thread possibly getting locked would be yet another example of the above. I'd really appriciate it if some of the mods(particularly some who are guilty of the above) could respond to my criticisms above. It just doesn't make much sense to me. Thanks.

Damn, I was really enjoying this thread. Just reading it each day without hopping in. Now it risks banishment to the black hole that is the Mods Forum. How depressing.
