I admit my criticisms of Bruce's posts and Bruce's critics were both far more thorough and complete than average. What does having the far more thorough and complete ( accurate) criticisms have to do with you being upset you are remaining out-argued on the internet against an unpopular poster like me?

Speaking of the fiasco, my last thoughts on the matter were concerning how implicit bias factored in to people's opinions on the matter. It's a key concept to apply in situations where people may or not be a racist, and there is a big difference in the quality of criticism of a person's expressions between critics who are well- educated about the concept and critics who have never heard of it. That is also a key reason why popular opinion about such matters is useless if educated opinions are given the same weight as uneducated opinions. To make it even more complicated, this is not a binary scenario. People maybe poorly educated on the topic or even be well-educated and misapply it. I think a reasonable discussion about it would be a good remedy to an information gap in the community. We have been having a similar discussion in the "friendly chat about racism" thread in Politics Unchained. Hope to see you there.

I don't argue with you a lot because I know how you roll. Sometimes its best to let experts speak about matters like these and have a good look at their arguments and maybe even use those instead of your own made up ones. I dont think Im saying anything out of the regular 'sane' spectrum here so I wouldn't call it smart at all, Im literally saying 'I dont know everything about X so it might be an idea to listen to someone who does'. It is well established hate groups use guilt by association attacks as part of smear campaigns. For example it is popular in those circles to associate liberalism with communism, or even (ironically) fascism.

I doubt most people have consider the implications of giving such groups publicity by using them as a humor device. It can work to highlight their fallacy and dehumanization if the humor is correctly framed.

However when it is used for immature humor, such as a childish internet grudge match to get revenge for speaking out against mental health mockery and comprehension trolling, it serves no legitimate interest of either humor or social justice. In fact sowing social discord is the kind of thing those hate groups like. They really don't need that many folks to agree with them, but do need plenty of people who do not care.

Why hasn't Bryce to taken this discussion to unchained? Can you explain why you are using this thread to continue the smear campaign against me? Isn't lonely? Most people have seemed to realize they only hurt themselves engaging in such a foolish course of behavior. Maybe you should pay attention to that or come on down to unchained for some real talk.

First off I'm seriously not entirely sure I know what you mean, but I get the gist of it for sure. second I'm not that good at gathering evidence and was honestly hoping someone else would. But w/e I don't have to talk about it. If it really really comes down to it I like giving my opinions about things but am probably just not smart enough to lead super serious discussions about how the forum is run. So w/e.
