Re: Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

26,298 so far from 312,294 members of 2+2 ever as of this exact second.

While this is obviously a large number we ban at least 5-10 spam bots every day, so at 5 a day that's 1825 users per year, or at 10 per day 3650 users per year. So if we've been banning spam-bots at the same rate for 5 years (and I have no idea when they first started spamming 2+2, could have been since the site first existed) that's at least 10k bots banned.

The number of unique actual posters banned, especially once you take off the spambots and the people with 40000000 gimmicks/troll accounts is a lot lower than that 26k figure.

2+2 traffic numbers

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have the numbers/info on traffic of the site before bf and after. I would imagine there is a significant decline since then.. I also wonder when 2+2 peaked in terms of users online at one time. etc.

NVG is for news views and gossip. About the Forums is for stuff like this.

I'll move this post, but please post in the correct forum in the future.

And it will be moved to: twoplustwo.com/55/about-forums/twoplustwos-stats-big-boards-com-1155344/

Let's see if my prediction powers are in place.

Close, but no cigar.

The little old fashioned "pwned" is appropriate here I think.

How many new accounts are created per day?

What percentage of all 2+2 accounts are banned?

What is the average post count among banned accounts (excluding outliers like grear?

No idea, but with the OTB&C tool that allows us to delete all of a spammer's posts and ban in one step, the number will probably be quite low.

Re: 2+2 traffic numbers

I assume that a pretty high % of those 26k accounts belong to like 100 *******s.

Obviously, DC benefits the most from this effect.
Or maybe the feds are watching us very closely.

Re: 2+2 traffic numbers

Very interesting thread.

Do you know what the traffic numbers by browser look like?

Like that many of the visitors use Firefox vs Chrome vs IE ...

Edit:
the traffic numbers by operating system would be very interesting as well
