Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

Are there any reliable stats about the usage of the 2+2 forums? After bf I was curious if the usage of 2+2 would change. I asked in the beginner's forum and Cry Me A River pointed me to the site "big-boards.com". Back then it seemed that not much changed. More or less the same traffic before and after bf.

Today I checked again and was surprised that 2+2's stats (according to bigboards) took a nosedive in some areas (unique visitors, page views etc.) around august/september.

I am curious. Are these stats reliable? Are there any other forum tracking sites out there? Did the traffic in the forums change? Or did bigboards stop tracking 2+2?

EDIT: link to 2+2's stats at bigboards

Seems obvious traffic would drop at least a little bit after bf, and it wouldn't happen overnight. August-ish sounds about right. (not confirming those stats in any way, just giving my opinion)

What specific statistics are you looking for? I'll ask Mason if he wants to release them.

What I can tell you, in general, is that traffic did not drop off anywhere near what I would have expected.

Well, there's almost no strat here since bf but depressed poker ppl can't help it. They just keep in coming here to check on nvg, atf, etc., then troll around in the politard forum a little bit.

Oh wait, I'm talking about myself there. I might need some help.

Thank you for your answer. It is more a general curiosity than specific stats. Your answer is more or less all that I was looking for.

Only other thing I'm interested in is if you can see the demographic changing, more towards an international audience?

Probably about a 5% shift - IE 50/50 before, now about 55/45 Non-US/US.

Re: Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

Mason has told me to post any user stats you are curious about. This would be any of our post count data or google analytics numbers. So feel free to ask. We can be pretty specific and see how many visits come from each country or state, for instance.

How many different users have at least 1 post in the past month? Or basically just about how many active users are there on 2+2.

can you list the top 25 post count rankings? also could you graph those users by posts over time?

Re: Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

If i did the search correctly it looks like 19,284 users have made at least one post since 12/20/2011. 39,765 registered users have been on the site since 12/20/2011 however, our google analytics show: 935,404 Unique Visitors.

The same time last year we had 1,097,479 Unique Visitors.

Stabn's correct, "There are a lot of lurkers yo."

Re: Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

what is the percentage of traffic is from America in non-poker forums, i,e, 2+2 Communities, Sports & Games, Other Topics and French BBV?

Bonus question: Who were you playing against in the Connect Four tourny that aired on 2m2mm?

Re: Twoplustwo's stats @ big-boards.com

the community forums are about 65% US. it's possible, but too time consuming to give you a more accurate answer. don't remember who i was playing with, but he was a very bad man.
