Regardless. I am a god. Called it so it is true.
I can't tell if pfzapp is leveling or not, but I don't think he is...
Looks like he's looked me up. Good thing, 'cause I'm kind of a big deal around here.

Why? Because at the higher stakes (and even on occasion at mid stakes) players are learning to TRIPLE RANGE MERGE their holdings.
The only way to adapt to such a player is to be willing to call down very light. Against a player you suspect of triple range merging, top pair is the near nuts.
Now, I realize that at Zynga, you probably do not see much TRM, but I do assume that double range merging has overtaken Polorized Orphan Ranges as the standard line. Against a poloroized orphan range you can EASILY lay down TPTK, but that style of play is rather dated and you only see it at the micro stakes cash games.
The online game evolves quickly, and with many US players being shutout of the larger online cash games (for the time being), the games an Zynga are about to get infinately harder as the pros look for a place to practice new techniques.
What was successful yeserday probably won't be successful tomorrow, and the ONLY way to keep up is to stay one step ahead. You need to KNOW the new strategy not necessarily to apply it, but to know how to counter it when (not if) your opponents learn to adapt.
If the rumors are true and Phil Ivey is really working on a way to make playing a Reverse Polorized Range Merge profitable (I do not see how it could be, but never underestimate Phil), then the game will once again change. I shudder to think of the repurcussions.
Do you need to think of poker on this level to win at Zynga? Not today you don't, but wait until you see the influx of new talent that will be coming after the IPO. The time to start learning is now.
And, of course, I am ALWAYS up for a good HU4ROLLZ challenge, just as long as the stakes are intriguing .

Re: Zynga Poker Forum - Bad Beats, Epic Wins and Variance
"I'd all-in a 'Top 10' against 2's any day of the week!!!
(2's have only 1 in 11 chance of making trips on the flop!.. People that all-in 2's, and slowplay A's,
are the same people that say; Gimme chipz plzzz!)
This is a simple guide to that relies on odds, and the value of having cards that 'co-operate'.. and it works!
PAIRS
SUITED CONNECTORS
SUITED HIGH-LOW
UNSUITED, BOTH CARDS 9 AND ABOVE.
You are still looking to make hands, but you'll have a MUCH better chance of winning..
(I made 9k into 100M in one week with this strategy! It could work for you too!)"
This is as pro as it gets for zynga poker theory. Go to teables and fake maneys. The Zyngas do.

Re: Zynga Poker Forum - Bad Beats, Epic Wins and Variance
King Fish is a good leveler. He has heart and commitment to the level.
I am Johnny_X (obv) on the Zyngas. Hopefully they don't find the X offensive and change my nick to Johnny_On_The_Green or something.
I just added my thought's on Hellmuth's books in King Fish's strat post. It's pretty solid I think.
