I spend maybe 2-3hours a day playing hu hypers, I dont like mtts I'm a whale in those formats. As for taking a break when on a downswing, Im a bit stubborn so I usually quit after I recouped some of the loss and play a lot tighter to prevent excessive loss.

That's pretty impressive if most your winnings are from hypers how can you endure the worst downswing.

I've been playing at least 12hours for a week consecutively and still down micro stakes

Downswings arent easy for me to deal with too but I dont mind running bad as thats part of poker, I only get annoyed when I am running bad and playing bad which I like to think is rare for me but probs not haha

Its kinda hard to remain positive when I played 10+ satellites or mtt per day for consecutive one week and still experience downswings cause of many factors (yes, I do climb to higher buy in mtt, but that's not enough)
That emotional battle though...

Thats the thing about mtts, I know many mtt pros that dont have winning months before they bink a tourney and get rewarded. To play those you have to be mentally stronger as you are usually expected to lose when you play a tourney which is one of the reasons i dont play them. I recommend you play smaller fields to get instant results albeit smaller results, or even get the primed mind app to help you even though I havent tried that yet haha

An update on my winnings as my upswing continues

I occasionally dabble into the cash games and have been winning there too recently


The biggest badbeat for me is the fact that poker will soon be banned in australia...

you might wanna stick to cash games - 78 cents a tourney isn't worth it but with your roll you can play 1/2 and prolly make a decent wage.
