What the **** is the point of slowrolling someone out of a tournament?

So after missing just about every goddamn flop on my KQs, AKs, etc hands. Having an ace and a ****ing face hit at the same time on every ****ing flop I hold a pocket pair, I sit on half the starting stack with an "M" just over 5.

The blinds are 600/1200 with a 100 ante and I got about 17K.

There is a limp UTG and an old guy chip leader shark makes it 3400 to go (already a tilting raise). It gets to me and I proudly shove the rest of my stack in the middle with pocket 9's.

Folds around to the old shark who now ponders for a good 3 minutes. Mind you this **** has hero called and over-shoved my all-in's before with hands like A9o, KTs and worst. He separates the amount needed to call and begins counting the rest of his chips. I'm thinking okay he probably either has an underpair to mine or maybe two overs that can't call an all-in (like KJ or QT).

He finally announces CALL and opens up AK. Wtf? WHAT. THE. ****. And of course without missing a beat, the ****ing Ace peels off as the window ****ing card.

I berate him and ask him WHY slowroll ??? I knew that he knew damn well that my shoving range was any pair, most Ax, KTs+, KQ or maybe worst. He knew he had me either crushed or a coin flip at worst. Then some old lady went on to defend him saying "He took his time because it was 17K and Ace King is crap". lol?

I'm sorry the title of this thread should be "I found the ultimate secret to winning PFAI showdowns..." And that's to slowroll obvious calls. I've had people do that to me with Jacks, Tens, AKs, AQ and Queens.

600 + 1200 + 10x100 antes = 2800

17/2.8 = 6.07

I did say a little over 5.
