I know the tradition in BBV is to repeat what many others have said before you in meme form (and I'm sure some `genius` will put this OP in meme form), but what is the most interesting fact, idea, philosophy, etc that you have learned this year? For me, it is that studies seem to suggest that descendants of people who survived the Bubonic Plauge during the middle ages are also at least partially immune to HIV. Partially immune meaning they can get infected with HIV but never show symptoms. Think of it like drinking a gallon of vodka a day and never experiencing the effects of cirrhosis.
